Cold approaching isn’t creepy. People are creepy. It’s the person who does it, not the act itself. Provided you do it right it’s fine, if you do it wrong then it can be creepy.

Cold approaching was never common. It was, however, "the done thing" to at least some extent a few decades ago, from what I know. But nowadays people normally meet each other through online dating.

With that said, I don't see why women wouldn't be "still receptive to guys approaching them while grocery shopping". People are still people and evolution doesn't work that fast, you know? :)

In fact, I think the online dating market is oversaturated, and the time for men to return to the art of cold approach is now.

In my opinion daytime approaches will always be effective, because the mix of their relative rarity (I think with everybody going online they are even more rare than 10-15 years ago) and mix of positive qualities it shows (honesty, courage, social intelligence — if it’s done the right way).

They are pretty much receptive to it if you know how you do it, I mean most of the time at least. You can still get rejected by doing everything perfectly, its a part of the game but most of the times if you do it well, its pretty easy to get numbers
