This is known as an 'open loop.' You tease an idea but don't complete it. She will naturally respond with, 'ready for what?' From there, you can continue the convo.

I'd never use the word date, but if you do, say 'hot date.'

Not a bad line thematically - just not a good opener. That's something that you'd throw out there tongue-in-cheek when the conversation is going well. I think it's better in a phone/in person conversation where you can use it as a snuck premise. For example,"Hiking definitely won't be our first date, but it's something we could work up to. Do you always try to lure men into remote areas? I'm a little concerned."

Here, you've seeded an idea, that there is a first date. However, you've glossed over it so quickly and moved into something more compelling (an a joke/accusation that she's trying to do something nefarious) that she's likely accepted the idea of a date without realizing it.

You do need to be prepared for a shit test if you get an engineer/attorney-type minded girl who will keep track of everything on a per point basis. "Who says there's going to be a first date?" "I mean, have you looked at me? You seem like the type that wants to be in the presence of good company" (Notice the subtle frame of she wants to be in YOUR company).

Opening with that seems completely uncalibrated to use it as a generic opener. It MIGHT be OK if there's something in the profile like, "I don't want endless texting let's meet." However, even then I'd allude to the fact that it's her desire, "No endless texting eh? OK, I hope you're ready for our date in the near future" I'd leave the specific of 'this week' out still even here.

I once had a girl write, "I prefer calls over text" so my opener was, "Calls over text hmm? 5552224444, yours?" - she sent a few messages letting me know she was driving home from work and would call me - she did and got the date scheduled.

Basically, you can do these sort of presumptuous lines, but they need to be VERY well calibrated.

No. Just be yourself homie...your profile is 90% of success in dating apps, what you say is 10% and it’s more a matter of not fucking it up with cheesy lines imo.

A girl will match with 10 guys and then out of those 10 guys only talk to 2, it’s just the name of the game...mention something from her profile “Hey Christina it looks like you’re into hiking? Have your ever been to ______” it doesn’t need to be elaborate, just something genuine that shows a bit of effort and gives her something to respond to...what’s she going to say to “I hope you’re ready for our first date?” “Yes I am!”

You see it doesn’t give her anything interesting to respond to and sarcastic humour doesn’t go over well through text...

Don’t use tag lines or canned openers, be yourself, be genuine, the right women will respond and your interactions will go a lot smoother...if a girl doesn’t respond to a genuine/interesting question about herself then she’s either not that into you or she’s on the app mostly for validation

Also realize that for ever 10 messages you send you night only get back 1, don’t take it personally

Depends, you gotta try it out, it just might work…only you can determine that, not people here on Reddit….I’d probably just change it to “when are you free this week to get together for our date?” cause at least then you’re actually creating the plan instead of just stating a plan that hasn’t even been planned yet.
