As a woman and gym rat, I HATE being approached at the gym even if it’s by my gym eye candy. It’s sacred ground and I just want to do my own thing. The worst thing ever is going on dates with a guy from the gym and having it not work out and then you’re forever worried they’re going to be at the gym when you are. This is a place of don’t shit where you eat.

People are saying non verbal openers are the best and I agree, gyms not really the best place to open women as they are often too focused to chat. But dude come on it's just one chick at the gym, go out to the club with the boys and approach there, find a busy street and cute girl and open there. Go to the bar or coffee shop and find a cute girl, library all sorts of places. My point is just go for it, if she's not interested she's not interested, and go on to find targets in other areas

Walk by and say "hey how've you been" almost emotionless and just in passing. if she's interested it will get her attention. have done it myself to girls i'd never even seen before.

Ok, so this is what I did: First, I waited for at least a month or two, just so she could get "used" to seeing me at the gym, so she knew I wasn't just some creep that randomly hits on women at the gym, so she could see that I'm serious about my training and so she could see me how I interact with the staff (I was really close with all of them, I went to this gym for about 2 or 3 years while I was at college) as social proof (as in, if the staff likes me, I'm probably not that bad of a guy or a creep), as time went on, I would start making eye contact with her and smile, maybe even a nod as a hello, I would get smiles and nods back, so I knew I was on a good path, then one day, when I saw her, I tried to time my workout with her's, so we'd be finished at about the same time, she always wore headphones in the gym and I really really didn't want to be the guy that approaches women in the gym, so I just waited for her outside, I introduced myself and told her that I've seen her here a lot, found her very attractive and that I'd like to meet her, she told me she has a boyfriend but still gave me her socials and we followed each other on instagram (she really did have a boyfriend) and we still like each other's posts and briefly text maybe three or four times a year just like "how are you doing?" to this day.

I’m literally in the EXACT same situation as you. And now with masks gone, she walks by me (sometimes she even goes the long way to make sure we cross paths), but when she gets close to me, looks down and away. I have no idea what to do.

Most people here say "don't" and I generally agree, but if you're going to try then try this: if she's actually "following you" then I'm guessing she's using a similar machine as you. So the way I would approach her would be to ask her if she's done with the machine or ask if she'd mind to share said machine (when she rest you go and when you rest she goes)...

Honestly it doesn't matter what you use as long as it's gym related and from her response you should be able to judge whether or not she actually wants to talk to you.

Tip: if she keeps her headphones on or puts them back in real quick don't even bother.

A lot of people will tell you not to approach a girl at the gym, but honestly it doesn’t matter. If the girl is feeling the convo, it’ll be obvious. I’ve literally just came back from the gym and approach a few girls.

Just casually try to work out close to her, and when she’s resting between sets, strike up a convo (of course trying to be seductive). Don’t start with the name. I usually save that for the end or when the convo starts to dry out a bit.

If she’s not feeling it, she won’t talk a lot, and that’ll be your cue to say something like “it was nice meeting you, but I’ll let you get back to your workout”.

Ok so Imma help you more then everyone saying don’t approach her, now if you want to approach a girl that don’t want to be spoken to just make contact by asking her if you can borrow st now you have spoken to her see how she acts if she seems happy your speaking to her after you’ve borrowed a weight or plate try giving it back and see how she acts again maybe add a question for her, for example if she has an accent ask her where she’s from and u might start a convo, then keep asking her thinks make her talk about her life and bang you have a conversation going, don’t talk for to long tho keep it short and sweet, after if she asks if she can borrow your weights now your most likely in so be like no and make a jokey laugh or if she asks to use your bench or machine and want to know how many sets you have left, be like I got 3 more hours, be unrealistic so she knows your joking and see how she act, and keep messing with her, then next time you see her act like she’s not even there and if she comes to you your goood talk to her and then after be like “woman’s name- let me quickly give you my Instagram or number” straight after you call or message and bang your in to the part where you have to take over don’t be a beg tho act like your talking to 100 other girls but don’t say that and even if you don’t get anywhere if you put your self in and move on most likely she will think of you when she wants to fuck and message you but don’t wait for that keep going for other girls.

And don’t follow this advice exactly, thing may go different and your going to have to change it up a little bit.

Break the ice by asking from time to time (not on the same day) how long she is going to need a machine or if you could have the dumbbells next to her if she doesn't need them... after a couple of times / days you are used to exchange some words, then you can have a little small talk here and there... depending on her reaction you will see from the beginning if she is annoyed or open for more...

I did this literally 1.5 months ago, after planning to do it and shying out a couple of times. I think it's really important what you said about her being there to take care of her workout, but not being ultra focused on it, since she's looking at her phone in between sets, and seems to be following you and making you talk to her. It doesn't really matter if she has headphones on, I think it's actually better. Music at the gym usually sucks.

Just try this, there's nothing to lose. At the first moment where you make eye contact in a day, just approach her from the front, so she can see you approaching her, smile, and be honest. This right here, although it doesn't seem like it, it's one of the greatest flattery you can say to a woman: Tell her you think she's pretty, that you are interested in knowing her. After that, whatever you talk about is not important, as long as you are playful and respectful. Try to talk to her for a bit so you have something to talk about after you get her contact (social media is easiest IMO). You can ask her if she's single, that way you don't get emotionally invested, because sometimes in these situations anyone can get lost in the moment and either be hesitant to say they're in a relationship, or just don't come out and say it.

Easy bro when she on the machine or some shit on her phone ask her how much sets she got you gonna build rapport and then from there whenever she passes by you in the next couple weeks build an eye contact when you pass by if she smiles or acknowledges you theirs your kill it’s gonna way more easier to pull into conversation in terms of saying hi how’s your day and from there it’s all on up on your game to get your other foot in the door.
