I decided I should do a mini FR. I was downtown for lunch and I saw Coffee Girl sitting on a bench eating a burrito. She smiled and waved at me, I said "Oh hello, it's awfully hot I think I'll sit down and rest for a minute." I asked if she was on her lunch hour, she said she wasn't working today, and she immediately mentioned her boyfriend was out of town for the day so she felt a sense of relief and she could do whatever she wanted. A friend of hers was babysitting her kid all day. So she was just goofing off.

Now at this point, I'm wondering if this is a window of opportunity. But I decided it is best to play it cool. So we chatted a bit about food, did a few DHVs about restaurants in LA, how the Mexican food is better in East LA, she responded with stories about living 5 miles from the border and just crossing over for real mex food. It sounded like she was vaguely qualifying herself to me. For example, I said I would kill for a proper chile relleno, but no restaurant around here really does it right. Then she said she can make it, and a few other specialties. But I am careful not to say something try-hard like "oh then you should make it for me sometime."

But I'm carrying most of the conversation since she's trying to eat. I'm thinking we should hang out for a while, but I realize that I am starving, and to my own astonishment, I suddenly eject by saying, "well all this talk about food is making me hungry, I really have to get something to eat, I'll see you later." And I just stood up and walked off, while she said bye.

Now I figured this was a positive move, I didn't put any moves on her, and she seems to be giving off mixed IOIs, she does a weird sort of "I have a [gay] boyfriend" shield but she clearly doesn't like him that much. She didn't gripe about him today, so I figure I'm steering clear of the LJBF zone. And she seemed really interested in talking, but I clearly had more important things to do, like lunch. As the old Hollywood saying goes, "Always leave them wanting more." But am I being too indifferent? Probably not, I would gladly take a spin with her, but I'm not really so interested that I'd pursue her. And this is not the sort of girl that can be pursued. I get the distinct impression that she would gladly fall onto my dick accidentally, if the circumstances just happened to work out that way.
