About six weeks ago, I quit porn and masturbation. I did it partly because I just wasn’t enjoying porn as much as I used to, and partially to see what it would do for my sex life and my game. Here is what I have found:

I’m more inspired to meet new women. I realized that previously, I was dealing with my overwhelming attraction for girls I saw during the day by subconsciously thinking that I would go home and masturbate later. I wouldn’t really masturbate to a memory of a girl I saw that day. But just knowing that I was going to jerk off made me feel better.

But “feeling better” about my attraction amounted to not taking initiative with as many women. Now, when I see a girl on the street, I think about fucking her. I think about the pussy underneath her skirt. I was meeting women before. But now, I talk to more women. I have a deeper motivation.

I’ve always suspected that one thing that makes Alpha’s Alphas is their horniness. They are the horniest guys I know. That’s not the only ingredient, but it’s important.

I’m hornier with women I’m dating. There’s a new urgency with the women I’m fucking. It’s like I’m in high school again. There’s this girl in bed next to me and I’m wondering whether we’ll fuck. I’ve been with her for a while, so I know we’ll fuck. But I get that same awesome feeling when you don’t know if it’s a sure thing. It’s like being back on a first or second date with her. Not quite—but almost.

Sex has gotten a lot better. Before, sex felt like a push to the finish line (the orgasm). Now, I’m enjoying it a lot more all the way through. The girls I’m with say I come faster, but I never really had a problem of coming too quick. If anything, I took too long to come. Part of that was out of boredom. Now, the whole time, my dick is tingling with joy that I’m getting some play, even if it was a sure thing.

I come in buckets. When I come, I come a lot more now. Like a lot more.

A few points:

I’m getting laid about twice a week. I can’t say what the effects would be if I wasn’t getting laid regularly. Would I get overly frustrated? I don’t know. Maybe I would be too frustrated. Or maybe it would kick my ass into even higher gear.

I quit both masturbation and porn. The above is an effect of both of those. Now, when I see pussy, it’s like… wow! It’s probably just more exciting because I don’t see 50 of them every day, like when I was watching porn. I suppose I could try masturbating without porn to see the effect. But I’m pretty happy how things are right now.

It took a while for these effects to kick in. I was definitely a little more pent up right away. But it was only after about four weeks or so that sex really started to get better and I got bolder in taking initiative with women. It’s almost like the pent up sexuality started to ‘smooth out’ after a while.

I quit cold turkey. There have been some nights lying in bed at home where I was horny as fuck and I was tempted to masturbate. But I didn’t. Masturbation is a fake form of release. You’re still a bit unfulfilled afterward. There’s nothing like the real thing. I think if I hadn’t stopped completely, I would soon slide back into the habit of masturbating almost every day like I did before.

I’m in my late 30’s. I’m not quite as horny as I was when I was younger. I remember trying to quit porn for five days about a decade ago and it drove me crazy with frustration. Besides being younger, there were two other big differences back then: I wasn’t able to go out and meet new women and I wasn’t getting laid regularly.

All in all I would say that quitting masturbation has focused my sexual energy. I was worried it would lower my libido, but it actually raised it in a good way.
