In my opinion a girl doesn't invite you to her place/doesn't come to your place to play cards. Just go for the kiss as soon as you close the door/you sit in the couch.

Then if tension builds up start fondling. there is no routine or particular escalation it's like almost everytime you have sex it starts with a kiss and one thing leads to another.

If things were already going well as soon as we get through the door I won't say anything and just lightly push her against the door and go for it. The fact that you just go for it without any dancing around it really turns them on. I do it gently so they don't feel threatened and they have to comply by backing up to the door. If they resist at all I just laugh and we go do something else for a bit. Either way, my intentions are super clear and the tension is thick the second we shut the door.

In my younger days I always sought ways, like leaning in over her. Later that escalated to me taking advantage of the commercial breaks. By smiling and saying, while leaning forward, we should use this time for something nice and thereby kissing her.

However now a days I simply just do it. At any given random time I simply just look at her and make eye contact or say something to get eye contact. Smile and kiss away.

If you have her back at your place she is willingly.

I like to do this if there isn't a pause in the conversation where I can make a move: put my drink on the table, take her drink from her and put it on the table, kiss her. I like this because once you take her drink she knows exactly what's coming and it takes a second to put down so it builds tension. Look her in the eyes while doing this and glance at her lips or even neck/cleavage/legs while doing this (it's appropriate here and will probably turn her on).

To supplement what these fine gentlemen are saying already, there is no "roadmap". The only rule should be, "get the hell out of your head and pay attention to HER." She'll give you the signs, as to when you should be kissing her. If you're in your damn head during the date and when you're at your/her place, then you're going to miss the signs and think that nothing happened because you didn't know what to do. When in reality, it would be because you weren't noticing when she invited you to do it.

As for the kissing itself, there is no perfect way to "go in". Having said that, here are some guidelines you may find useful.

You don't have to do anything fancy, just go in nice and easy. (Save the rockstar rough stuff until you feel more confident in yourself.)
Once the kissing starts, etc., starting out slow and soft with the hanky-panky gives you good options: because it will tease her in a good way and also because then you have somewhere to go. (Read: If you start off at Volume 11 you may find yourself with nowhere to go.)
Then just turn up the intensity depending on what she does. (Just match her, basically.)

I am so bad at going in for the kiss. I don't know why. I had a girl flirt with me all night, agree to come back to mine (with another couple), carry on flirting like mad, constantly keep eye contact with me, and it still took ne ages to actually go in for the kiss. Here's what I like to do.

When I have physical comfort established and I'm holding her hands, at some high point in the conversation (usually timed with some tease or something self amusing) where I'll just pause and be grinning, I'll pull her in close and get my face very close to hers, even touching. I'll turn my face to one side so as I talk my lips will brush her cheek. I might say something more, then go in, or if it's obvious that she's ready I'll just put a hand under her chin and go.
