I went to an event at the weekend and at night time, there was entertainment such as fair rides and a really good DJ. That night I went straight into the middle of this huge crowd of dancing people having an amazing time with a family friend. We slowly made our way to the front when this gorgeous girl was stood dancing in front of me. I looked at my friend and asked should I speak to her however it was really loud so I thought it would be awkward if I couldn't hear her. So as the DJ finished this girl walked really slowly passed and i turned and said 'fuck it' and tapped her on the shoulder.

'Hey, how old are you?'

Replied with her age (same as mine)

'Can I get your snapchat, I don't have my phone so I'll put it in yours'

her phone was dead so she told me in person and all i had to do was remember...

'I asked what she was doing later that night and she replied with 'nothing' so i chickened out and said 'see you around' and smirked. We both walked off and the following day i messaged her. From the moment i tapped her shoulder it all came out so smoothly and confidently but it went so fast!

'Hey is this (Name) from last night?'

'Yeah, So i finally get to know your name' she texted

I replied 'Well i was going to properly introduce myself if you want to catch a few drinks?'

That night we met up, got talking, got drunk and by the end of the night i was walking out of her tent at 5am.

She said 'do you get girls often?' , 'no?' and she said my approach was very confident and that i'd done it before; it was my first time ever doing that!

Thank you reddit for all the tips that led me to do such a thing - im still texting her now and i really like this girl however she lives 3 hours away... The event was in the middle of the country and i live up north and she lives down south.
