I float between a few different dance communities and get to see the mating dance in many glorious and sometime awkward forms. I see a lot of middle aged dudes (40s/50s) acting like like they are in their twenties around attractive younger women, trying to match their energy by being bubbly and chatty. On the outside it seems like they are able to easily establish rapport, but I wonder how many transition to an intimate relationship.

The older I get the more incongruent it feels to act like a dancing monkey for the attention of women. Im done with chasing, but not sure how to show up in a way that naturally draws women in. I have theories. Of course the foundations of good health/fitness, style, financial stability, emotional intelligence and sexual polarity still matter at any age, but what qualities really make an older man attractive?
