You're trying to play the confident man. You have to BE a confident man. You have to be secure. If that requires therapy or and a healthy dose of faking it until you make it (along with accepting and dealing with constant rejection well when you approach women - even the biggest players get shot down regularly), so be it.

I think instead of trying to play the confident man, you need to actually BE the confident man. Women, and I'm sure other men, can probably pick up on your lack of self assuredness which may be why you're losing out to "cooler guys".

If you're referring to yourself as "a virgin loser", it's probably because that's what you believe you are which isn't going to help with the confidence. Try finding things you genuinely like about yourself and keep telling yourself those things until you truly believe them. Confidence comes from within.

As someone who's more of an introvert, I've find better success in environments that are calmer. Think library or a museum environment. Theres no pressure to engage past just being there or engaging past a friendly conversation. Over time you'll be more comfortable which leads to being more confident.
