Got the first offer from stbx. Have a 5 year old together. She wants half the assets and spousal lump sum totalling $330k + child support monthly. Lawyer has nothing to contribute and is even suggesting I don't counter it. I feel defeated today, Canadian law has let me down. Ex was a parasite, never worked, literally a saveaho situation and this is the aftermath. Lesson for young guys out there :)

Where do I go from here...? I have no idea. I look at it positively, always, but the dream of having a functional family with kids and a dog is dead. It's a doggy dog world out there and now women are part of that equation. Am I wrong?
