CMV: Men do not date younger women because women their age won’t date them

Women their age won't date them is a shitty explanation on what is going on. It's about lack of boundaries which is correlated with youth. People who need to date someone who lack boundaries tend to be limited in their options.

My coworker's sister is in her 20's and dating a trainwreck in his 40's. The man is unemployed and a parasite. The sister doesn't have good mental health and trying to "fix him". She is paying his child support bill for him. The man could only be in a relationship with someone who is willing to put up with this. It can happen at any age but young people are very vulnerable.

Plenty of non-trainwreck older men would like to have sex with and date younger women. Actually sustaining a healthy relationship is difficult when life stages are significantly different. Compatibility do matter with most men.

Men desire to date younger women because youth and fertility are driving factors in attractiveness in women. Personality is more or less complete by age 25. I think generally speaking men date as young as they are capable of attracting.

On the flip side success and experience benefit a man's attractiveness to women in a way it doesn't in reverse. A lot of it will depend on what kind of shape the man is in. For me I've always been a gym rat, so I'm in better shape than probably 90% of people. I'm 52 but am often mistaken for late 30s. So usually I can get attention from attractive women in their early 30s. So that's who I'm mostly interested in. Most women my age look like grand mothers.

Men date younger women because they simply find younger women more attractive. Regardless of what the older women want to claim about the unfairness of it or that they are hotter than their younger counterparts.

Before I met her, I dated women women closer to my own age. All of them quite beautiful in recent year. (27-33) I couldn’t get them to take dating me seriously. I honestly felt used. We would go on dates. I would ‘court’ them. We would sleep together and have a good time. I would show vulnerability when asked, and it was often not matched. All of them had their shit together. One divorced, one was tax manager/home owner, one very well traveled etc. They all had been ‘hurt before’ but always gave vague accounts of ‘how’.

I’m talking about a very specific type of woman. Beautiful, independent, charming, guarded, jaded. I had a type.

It might be time to acknowledge and call these women what they are. They’re ‘players’. They lead men on. I was a notch on their belts.

It took me a little while to understand, but they used the same playbook as a good looking 25 year old fuckboy uses. They play it coy, and a little mysterious. Th didn’t share a lot, but were very affectionate. In the 4-6 month range when it comes around, they discard. They never show any real vulnerability and give vague confusing answers for the break up.

I make a pretty good living and I’m fairly attractive. I’m worth a shot to them at face value. I tried demonstrate that I was trusting, but but in hindsight, I don’t think they were open to trusting me in the first place place.

But it is what it is. These women weren’t honest with me.

Anyway, I went out with a 23 year old to haves something casual. We married two years later. We have each other’s backs. We love each other, and i could give a shit what other people think, including my own family.

Men date younger women for ALL KINDS OF REASONS. Some of those reasons surely include ,that the guy is undesirable but found that he can hide these undesirable traits from young, naive and stupid women, who don't judge him by the qualities an older woman looks for in a partner, but by the qualities a younger woman wants.

When you’re talking about a sketchy 25 yr old guy who dates an 18 yr old high school student who thinks he’s cool because he has a car, weed, and a one-room apartment… yes, it can absolutely be true. Obviously not when you’re talking about a 42 yr old celebrity with a 26 yr old wife. The actual ages matter more than the gap.

I think it's true when we're talking about small age gaps.

A man that's 25 is probably gonna have an easier time impressing a woman that's 22 than one that's also 25.

With big age gaps through its straight cope, 40 year old women are far less picky than 20 year old women. If you can get a 20 year old woman in your 40s then it goes without saying you could have a woman your own age if you wanted.

If a girl is equal attractive between 25 and 35, it’s harder to get the 35 because she wants life security and relationship guarantees, she’s also been with lots of guys usually and they set the standard. I have way easier time with 25 to 35 of equal attractiveness.

Look up the statistics at each age under 40 of men that are married already vs women. Women are always massively ahead in each age bracket.

Yes, I bring this up quite often and it’s the flawed logic of women in this topic.

Older women don’t want the man to pursue younger women. And older women don’t want to date the men either, so what should the men do? Be single because they said so?

Women will never admit they want those men for themselves as prospects, and back up options because then they’ll seem desperate and needy. Jealous of the younger woman.

I regularly date younger women. For every 20 year old I can date I could get at least 3x as many 30 year olds if not more
