Yeah that was my experience back when I was still a virgin as a non-religious young adult. Men would bail/ghost the second the found out I never had sex before. I ended up not telling the first guy I had sex with I was a virgin cuz I was sick of men being fucking weird about it, it ended up not even being the big deal I made it into in my head.

most guys your age want to get laid without too much effort and date for fun. that's why they avoid virgins, especially if they want to wait for marriage. that very well might be a dealbreaker to the vast majority of secular men.

but i don't know a single guy who ever said 'damn i wish my serious gf/fiance/wife would've slept with more dudes'. being boring in bed due to inexperience is just temporary and won't be a problem for long once you start sleeping with someone.

After a certain age, being a virgin starts becoming a yellow/red flag for women as well. If you want a somewhat active sexual life, being in a relationship with an "older" virgin women is risky.

In my college class, the only women who was a virgin at the end of college was one who was very religious and wanted to wait for marriage. Since most guys were not as religious as her, she was single for all of college; it's not that she didn't have men hit on her, but all tapped out when she expressed her view on relationships/sex. In the end she married someone from her church circle.

This doesn't mean men want the "village whore", but waiting for sex until marriage is also not something most men want.

After a certain age it becomes weird. And it's not just young people seeing it weird, it's also old(er) people viewing it weird.

Example: one of my husband's friends had a gf who was a virgin in her 30s. Hubby mentioned this to his parents and his parents' spouses. All 4 of them (people in their late 50s - early 60s) raised eyebrows and asked why and what's wrong with her.

And indeed, something was out of the ordinary with her. I suspect she was aromantic or something. Barely hold hands with him although she wasn't shy or anything. Quite chatty and a pleasant company. She was open up until it came to romantic gestures.

If you take a magnifying glass and search thoroughly, it's always something there when it comes to the romantic aspect of that person.

Please ignore them. Youre not wasting your youth, you are making a decision about what sex means to you and how you want to have sex in your life. Look at my post history im not sex negative in any way. Sex is an important part of a relationship but values matter way more. While i dont personally care about virginity you caring is not bad. I would never have sex with you because the way you view sex is not compatible with mine but i would never shame anyone for their view.

I do wonder what exactly made you decide to stay a virgin? People put a lot of stuff on sex that isnt actually intrinsic to sex. As insane as it seems sex is kind of banal. Sex itself isnt anything except an activity. Its not really different than going bungie jumping or playing a board game. You can make it whatever you want, but most of the time its just about being close, vulnerable, and open while hopefully sharing pleasure. If you have examined your thoughts about sex then ignore everything i have said but if you haven't i would suggest doing so. Start with what you think makes sex different from other activities you do.

Sounds to me like you drunk the Kool-Aid, dudes that aren't cool with you being a virgin are only tryna get what's in-between your legs. If you run into that problem consistently maybe something about your personality makes guys only view you as fuckable instead of wifeable, just work on yourself and don't pay anymore mind to dudes not approving of you not sleeping around.

He sounds like those women, who get all angry, whenever a virgin man says that he wants a virgin woman. It is always the same manipulative arguments:

"not realistic"
"who is still virgin at this time and age"
"you're being prude"
"you're lowering your chances"
"brace yourself to always stay a virgin"

If we read between the lies, then we'll see that those men and women want virgins to just give up their virginity to a random person, preferably them!

I mean, it is a quite known tactic to talk your sexual partner down in order to make him/her stay with you. Bear in mind, I am not saying that is how relationships work. I did hear about people who apply such tactics.

Let's get to the chase.

I've seen men say that experienced women are better because you can see if you're sexually compatible and have better sex meanwhile virgins are just boring.

Their argument fails, because there are couples with high experience yet they still don't have a sexually compatible life. Also, there are couples who are virgins and end up being perfectly sexually compatible.

It's even now apparently considered a big red flag for a woman in her 20s to still be a virgin because it means that something must be wrong with her.

They use the same manipulative argument for virgin men. I did meet women who were still virgin, who were around my age (I am 30). There is nothing wrong with being a virgin. I mean, we are not bombing children, are we? There is a person who sure as hell isn't a virgin and he keeps bombing children since at least 230 days.

Therefore, being a virgin, or not being a virgin, having a low body count, or a high body count, doesn't really tell much about that person!

I nowadays believe that, generally speaking, men with low body count seek women with low body count and men with high body count seek women with high body count. And then there are also men and women who like to manipulate virgins into giving up their virginity to random stranger, preferably themselves.

You are young, and men your age yes, they have no big plans to marry a woman and thus they wouldn't mind a woman with more experience, but once you are in your 30s for example, body count matters, and the less they have, the better chances are that she won't cheat on you or leave you.
