The other day a friend told me that in Panama they don't want to have boys. I asked him why and he said that in Panama if a man can't pay child support they'll take it from his parents. Families that have a house are worried that if they have a boy that the government could eventually seize their house because of their grandson's unpaid child support. He also said that grandparents there try to court their grandson's wife/girlfriend to try and make sure they stay together so they won't have to pay child support for their grandchildren.

I heard similar things in poor communities in the US. There they prefer girls because they know that girls are always taken care of. They know that if they have a girl she'll have multiple ways to make it. That if she becomes a single mom that the government will give her her own apartment. A boy could end up still living with them much into his 30's.

Not to mention that girls are the ones that will bring grandchildren. That she will have kids and have custody. That when boys have kids they only have visitation and it's hard mentally for grandparents not to be able to see their grandchildren just because they had a boy.

Also the girls will have a much easier time becoming successful. A girl can go to school and they'll give her a job first just because she's a girl. A boy could go to school and he'll have a much harder time getting a job.

I work in Healthcare and I see this a lot. They'll give young girls straight out of a school a job just so their friends and colleagues will have girls to date. While the men have to earn the job. They need experience, a good resume, and good references.

As a father myself with a son I have to say I understand. It's a lot harder having a son because today you really need to prepare him for success. You have to invest for his college and you have to mentor him. If you don't want him to end up being an incel or slaving away in some job for shit pay you have to help him.

A girl you wouldn't need to worry as much. Like I said she'll have a much easier time getting a job, she could just married, or she can even marry the government and she'll be taken care of. For a girl not to make it she'll have to completely continually screw up.
