Hell, no. No matter how attractive the woman it's not worth it. I believe no man would be ok with that. Having said that, there are a lot of men out there who have no clue. Women take advantage of them. My brother's wife tried to sleep with me a few times over the years. I tried to talk to him about it, and he just verbally attacked me, saying how ridiculous I was. I look a lot like her 1st boyfriend and nothing like my brother. She is clearly not sexually attracted to him, but he is oblivious to this fact. She has no respect for him and uses him in every possible way. There is no sex in their marriage as well, and they are only in their mid-30s. Beta-bucks is really just an abuse of the naive men out there.

My standards for attractiveness are pretty low so I won't end up in the typical "beta bucks" scenario where I use my increased salary at 35 to date hotter women who normally wouldn't notice me.

However, my goal is to get married and have kids someday, likely being the primary breadwinner for my household. I am totally willing to financially support my partner and our kids.

I would not marry a single mom but someone having past partners is expected and normal especially past 30. After all, I have past partners too, it would be weird if I expected them to have held off until now when I didn't.

There will definitely be guys out there who would get with her. Not every guy has the same level of self-esteem that I do, they'd probably take whatever woman they can get even if she only sees him as the consolation prize.

I'm not really seeing this as a situation all that many of us would find ourselves in. All the women I knew in my 20s who would have been potential girlfriends, I didn't know in my 30s. None of the men I knew were what you would call players, and almost all the women I knew were looking for a LTR. Now, it's possible some of them were hooking up, but I sure didn't see any evidence of it.

If by this you mean enter a relationship with a woman who isn't attracted to me? No. The behaviours that are described in the whole "beta" thing aren't bad, intact I'd say they are valuable and necessary for a good relationship. But they are also secondary. I thing women want to find them in the men they are attracted to. So first must come attraction, for most women that would be physical attraction.

If a woman would tell me that she was attracted to me cause "I have my life together" or something similar I'd be out of there. That's not an attractive feature, that's just being a functional adult.

Being told that getting older women will appreciate these things or stop looking for excitement is actually gutting. And for some reason women say this expecting your response to be happiness? I've seen women in happy relationships with men they are attracted to that are good men. They aren't merely there for their job, or their house etc. and they are excited to be with these people. Being told that you'll be there when some women give up on that and then they'll consider you is an insult, and agreeing to it would be me choosing to catastrophically insult myself.
