My argument with Red Pill types is that they're seeing the same problem as us, but they've been duped into believing a bad solution. This is pretty understandable, honestly, as for a long time, they were the only people talking about men's problems seriously.

The issue is, of course, that these guys are largely grifters, or on the off chance they are earnest, they're regressive conservatives who just want to set society back 70 years.

I like to think that the solution is for men to increasingly advocate for themselves, and fight for some of the advances that feminism brought women - in short, break free of gender norms and allow ourselves to be sons, brothers, husbands and fathers in the way we want, and not in a way that we're expected to be. To combat the very prevalent idea that men are inherently violent, degenerate or disposable.

We can't expect anyone to help us, but it's not a zero sum game. Honestly, I don't want to combat feminism. I think we need to copy it.

Friend, you are being downvoted because there are plenty of liberal men who do not apologize for backing Senator Bernie Sanders no matter how loudly women and white knights dismiss us as "Bernie Bros."

Lots of men who are liberal see a nation saturated in misandry mislabeled as revealed truth and enlightenment.

As a liberal man, I want men and women to be treated as equals, but I do not accept that women can only be equal if men are beaten down and devalued by society.

I do not accept that masculinity is automatically toxic in all of its manifestations.

Hell, the USA needs MORE masculinity to defend our rights as individuals and recover from the damage done to our Constitutional order by tRump and his RICO case defendents cleverly disguised as a cabinet.

While I understand there are plenty of women-haters using Red Pill language to mask their misogyny, there also a few communists who mask their hatred for America in progressive rhetoric.

There are bad actors in every movement.

Vice-President Harris lost a big chunk of the men's vote by not articulating any positive legislation to help men with their particular issues. I give her credit for at least not being as overtly hostile towards men in general as Senators Gillibrand & Warren were in their campaigns for president.

Liberals, progressives, and the Democratic Party in particular, need to see the "male voter" as a seperate voting block whose issues need to be seriously considered and addressed.

Otherwise, we will lose election after election to conservatives who pander to men using Red Pill dog whistles.

yeah; I think we should argue in favour of swaying people to our side with compassion and rehabilitating those who try to change, but red pill ideology is objectively harmful and opposed to anyone who believes in true equality. We should be opposed to misogyny and other bigotries because they are unfair and harmful, just as we demand that misandry be opposed as it is harmful. So while we should make sure we are open to addressing the issue with compassion and why people are radicalized, we need to also be clear that we still condemn the ideology. And like wise, we do need to learn how to work and make traction with those we don’t align with. Too often we have feminists who don’t understand our points or perspectives but are coming in good faith and could be someone we could form a bridge with, only for us to react with hostility and ruining that chance. I understand why people here are hesitant, with plenty of good reason, especially with this site in particular. But we have a user who’s made ground with DEI officers, so clearly there is a path there, and now is the time to take it

I discovered The Red Pill through Cassie Jay's movie of the same name.

When I first saw it I made the mistake of repeating some of her observations to other people I know. I was immediately labeled an MRA and accused of misogyny. I read Warren Farrell's books the Boy Crisis and Myth of Male Power. I found him to be fair, honest, and against all forms of misogyny and misandry. However, I also saw that he too was loudly decried as an MRA and accused of being a red pill hate monger. Anyone who dares speak out about men's issues in any way other than what feminist ideology approves is labeled Red Pill.

This sub is considered by feminist supporters to be red pill too. Everyone here is in the eyes of feminism members of the Red Pill community. Since feminism controls the narrative the general public is predisposed to also see this space as red pill.

You are free to say the red pill is no different than Nazis if you want, but be aware that the general public and feminists don't see any difference between this sub and red pill groups. Whether you accept it or not advocacy of any kind for mens issues, not framed within feminist ideology, is considered Red Pill.

As far as denouncing red pill altogether that would mean denouncing everything that has been labeled, falsely or otherwise, as red pill. It would mean joining the misandrist mobs who attacked Warren Farrell for advocating for boys. It would mean denouncing Cassie Jay's documentary as hate filled anti-women propaganda. Sorry, I'm not on board with that.

There's bad actors within any group. Feminism has extremely hateful voices just like male advocacy groups do. Misandrists tout the mantle of feminism to spread hate and misogynists do the same with male advocacy. You can't abandon everything that gets co-opted by bad actors. If you do that you'll always be looking for a new identity or a new name. Instead you have to call out misogyny when it appears and defend against hate.

Taking the red pill means nothing more than taking off the blinders and seeing the truth. That's literally what choosing the red pill means. It's a reference to the choice presented in The Matrix. For people growing up surrounded by feminist messaging seeing the hard data on mens issues and learning the truth for the first time feels very much like waking up in a different world. There's no way to unsee it. "Taking the red pill" is a perfectly apt succinct way to sum up in 4 words what it feels like to discover mens issues for the first time. This is the only consistent definition of what red pill means and it's not hateful or misogynist.

The few times I've seen someone advocate misogyny here it has been called out and denounced. That I think may be what you intend by "anti-red pill" and it's already being done.

The Red Pill does not buy into the right wing's beliefs. TRP is not a right-wing movement. The manosphere in general, is not a political movement. But it can be a vehicle that helps drive political outcome.

This confusion persists due to talking points that permeate from a wide array of feminists clubbing all anti-feminist movements together into a "manosphere". Fathers' Rights Advocate groups for instance is considered part of the manosphere which I do not think the LWMA will be wise in considering "anti-left".

You can say all you want that Red Pill Men are hurt by society's exploitation of them and to an extent I will agree. But it's clear by the actions of Donald Trump and his War Mongering that the lives of Men do not matter when Profit is to be made

I agree that we should always make an effort to undermine and push back against the right where possible. But you do realize just how much gatekeeping dominates the left these days, right?

There are large chunks of the left that will not listen. To them, we are the enemy for daring to 'side with fascists' (care about problems that affect us). Period. No exceptions nor room for negotiation. We can't win these people, at least for now. Maybe if we start gaining real popularity that could change, until then focus on other people who may actually listen.
