Dating again

Have zero expectations. I don't use the apps really not my thing. I don't even refer to it as dating. Just hanging out or having fun. I've been ghosted, I've been told the usual you're such a great guy but...., another one I found out she was going through a divorce so I told her don't contact me until it's finalized.

I know the kind of woman I want. I definitely still have my guard up and probably am more aware of certain things they say or do that I would deem a character flaw.

I'd focus on yourself though and find what you like to do, new hobbies etc. I think it's easier to meet new people that way. Also forcing yourself to do things you might not want to do. I.e. I'm going to a singles event on Valentines day. I really don't want to but forcing myself to go. Zero expectations, and I'm willing to bet I'm going to have a blast.

Date, it will speed the healing process. I’m not there yet myself and I was also against it but today I see that I was wrong and should have started dating a lot sooner.

The care of yourself first. Find activities that you enjoy. You'll start running into women who share similar interests

Believe it or not if you become the best you by going to the gym, improving your career etc you will naturally fall into something. It’s happened to me over the last half year and I realized unless she’s perfect don’t fall into something you can’t get out of.

You don’t. There is no way to meet women. Dating is impossible, let alone finding a girlfriend or partner. Divorce is a death sentence.

I personally don't think 40 is a bad age for men to be dating. The supply is pretty abundant, especially if you're looking at 30s-40s age range. Drop pounds, lift weights, look good, decent clothing and style and you'll be just fine. I do want to say though, take 'the one' and 'life partner' out of your expectations. Its not impossible, I just think it's not helpful to make that THE priority. Quite frankly women don't like that either. Just go out there and take things slowly.

She left seven months ago. Marriage was emotionally dead for a few years. I started dating a few months back.

I created an eHarmony account. I've met some great ladies and had some nice dates. I've learned some great stuff from them about life and myself.

Seeing a lady I really like right now. I'm friends with her mom. Long story. No clue if it has legs, but wtf, life is short.

10 months isn’t a crazy amount of time. Guess if you feel you’re ready get out there. I waited 10 years and wish i would of waited 10 more

Met my new love through work/business. We had been good friends previously, and we decided to move things forward after my divorce. It's been absolutely amazing! You'll probably be surprised that you meet someone when you least expect it (or when you stop trying or thinking it's important). Usually trying too hard is when nothing happens. Work on improving yourself first and foremost, then the rest will happen over time.
