Just asking this (somewhat alluding to recent post) after realising that living in a rural town with a population almost entirely consisting of middle-lower class people has been impacting my views a bit. I'm curious to see if money is a big priority for the women in your area, as opposed to the general virtues such as good looks, humour and emotional connection.

Most of the women I know seek those three things, I've never heard financial stability come up as a dating preference (excluding from my sister who used to talk about wanting to live in a mansion with someone who pays all her bills – she's dating a bogan now LOL). There's a small demographic of women in my area who have a lot of money, and they are more likely to gravitate towards financially stable men, although some of them don't care.

I'd even go to say that some of the women where I live are more "desperate" (for a relationship) than in bigger cities, from what I've observed. Yet when people date here it never seems to be settling, and if they do break up there's like intense emotional heartbreak on both ends. It's just like money isn't even a thing.

Would love to know if my perspective is completely wrong, or if other people in rural towns share similar experiences. For reference, the population of my town is ~40,000 and is many hours away from urban areas.
