There are two things that anti-feminists seem to unanimously agree with feminists on: 1) It is a shame that women take negative experiences from men and act more wary towards men as a whole, but also 2) women need to vet men before trusting them with their bodies.

So, every way for a woman to investigate a man, even if it's highly flawed, seems like an improvement over collectively not trusting men.

I've seen a lot of pushback on Reddit against apps and groups "reviewing" men, for not having strict enough fact-checking. The idea of someone making false claims for revenge or ransom is indeed scary, if not exactly new. Gossip has always been around and subject to the same biases. Personally I think the paranoia is really overblown.

Another much-maligned way of vetting are "tests", where women insult a man or make him do certain things, to see if he flips out and goes on a sexist rant. This catches only a handful of angry people, but mostly it filters out genuine men with any self-confidence, and leaves only desperate men willing to take any abuse, or liars and pickup artists who know how to "play the games".

There are, of course, less-flawed ways of vetting, like rigorously searching his social media, bringing up politics first, or talking to the women in his life. The sheer amount of options that women have, make it implausible to spend too much time vetting each and every one, so inevitably women turn to faster but flawed methods of vetting, or most often a general sense of caution applied to all men.

So, TL;DR, do you think that it's a good thing for women to vet individual men instead of generalizing, even if the methods are flawed?

I was surprised by a recent AskMenAdvice post where men seemed really angry at the existence of apps copying the "Are We Dating The Same Guy?" fb page. I thought everyone was on the same page about those being a step in the right direction. But then I thought some more and I realized a lot of TikTok advice is also a fast-but-imperfect form of vetting, that I think is absolute bullshit. So there are forms of vetting that I would say are worse than nothing. There's definitely nuance here.
