I know the phrasing is weird. But its been argued that when a couple breaks up, you can tell who the problem was by looking at who had the better glow up. They claim the person that was put through the most stress and trauma tends to become way happier and more attractive after the relationship ends. And while it makes sense that losing a major life stressor would more than likely change your life for the better, I think its a lot more complex than that.

For starters, I think the person that has the better support group will tend to bounce back faster for obvious reasons, regardless of them being the stressor or the stressy. Its a lot easier to get back to a healthy reality when you have friends and family to support you.

Another caveat would be, who victimizes themselves the most or who rebukes accountability. For example, a person can get cheated on but if the cheater rationalizes their cheating by telling themselves they werent happy, they might still thrive once the relationship is over.

My last point would be attachment styles. If you have a break up between an anxious and avoidant person, the anxious person will more than likely be a mess for an extended period of time when the relationship ends, while the avoidant will bottle it up and show out the the world.

Any thoughts?
