Mine hates me but kept my name on social media for a year after we separated when she married her AP. It was weird.

It’s still a hassle to change your name. Gotta go to the social security office, BMV or DMV. All her credentials, if any. Utility bills, loans, credit. It’s not a huge task. But if she is fine with the last name she has why put extra burden on herself?

Try not to read into it. It’s her choice. Has nothing to do with you brother! 😎

You can put that into your portion of the divorce decree that she take back her maiden name. The judge may or may not agree
