I am sick of these self-righteous idiots insisting that "this doesn't represent feminism," yet note that rationale doesn't work for the MRA. David Futrelle paints the entire movement to look like the stupidest comments of self-proclaimed MRAs. And the Southern Poverty shithouse puts the False Rape Society on its hit list because it dared to do a post poking mild fun at Michelle Bachmann supporters who insisted "it takes a woman" to clean up the mess in Washington.

They are all full of shit -- self-righteous enlightened morons. Feminism is a cesspool filled with double-standards and haters.

The new hotness among Feminists is to post and quote from this article to prove that Feminism is all about helping men, and mra's are counterproductive.

Feminists "Look. this article proves that feminists care about men."

Men "You mean the article that basically tells us to STFU otherwise feminists will hate us? From the site that you keep telling us doesn't really represent feminists?"

I'm a woman and I think Jezebel is one of the single worst websites out there. Their 'writers' are ridiculous, their 'stories' are even more ridiculous and I hate how Jezebel fans letch on other Gawker sites in the comments and continue to whine there (like on Deadspin). I stopped going to the Gawker sites about four months ago.

That is strange, I have read several articles on Huffy recently linking to Jezebel as the feminist opinion, and one on the BBC that linked to Jezebel for a feminist opinion, only a couple of days ago. I don't see how it gets any more mainstream than that.

I agree, the test of whether someone or something represents a movement is how frequently an idea originating with that person or platform gets repeated/reposted by other people claiming to be members of that community.

By this metric, AVFM can be said to represent the MRM, and Jezebel can be said to represent feminism. By the same metric, trolls on youtube videos can be identified as trolls.

I like how the first one mentions Amy Winehouse, because if there's anybody I'm gonna look up to it's someone who made a song making fun of rehab as being stupid and something she would never do, only to die of a drug overdose not long afterward, that's a quality role model right there.
