I'm 6'1", 230 lbs, 40 years old. Looking to see what works for other guys as far as periodically changing up lifting routines. I switched last week to a heavy regiment of 5x5's with bench (260 lbs 5x5), squat (315 lb 5x5), dead lift (275 lbs 5x5), rows (145 lb 5x5), military (135 lb 5x5). Increase 5 lbs (10 on squat) every time I have a successful lift (make all five sets without failure). I go every other day. I'm a week into the routine and sore as shit, so I know it's working. I also do arms 2xs per week in between and abs every day. Looking to stay with this for 12 weeks then switch to different routine to build endurance for 4 weeks.

What other routines have you guys find works? Results?
