Most of us here are familiar with the theories put forth by RP (AF/BB, hypergamy, etc.), and mainstream studies regarding sex, etc., but we should also look around us and see how these things play out in real life.

Why?

because every study done regarding human sexuality, mating practices, etc. is flawed. Women routinely lie when asked about their preferences, past behavior, expectations, etc. --they even convince themselves that these fictions are true. They lack self-awareness. Men also lie by inflating N counts or taking on some bogus persona. The numbers and conclusions simply can't be trusted.

By combining observation and analysis with theory, we can make some assumptions ...

Most of the women I have known (and I know a lot, and dated quite a bit) were NOT superficial when it came to male appearance. They were very picky about other things, which I will talk about below, but they were not all out to land a male model. Even the ones who were quite attractive themselves. Most dated average guys, and some dated guys that were way below them in looks.

About 80% of the women I have known were somewhat promiscuous between the ages of 17-25. The CC is real for sure. More alarmingly, a vast majority of them engaged in unprotected sex (pill maybe, but no condom). The "7 sex partner average" for women is nonsense. It is more like 12+ for the average 28 year old.

(The 20% who were not promiscuous, or even virgins, were ALL married by age 25, to high-quality men).

Most women I have known were not gold-diggers, but a good 30% were. They openly told me this. Women these days have their own careers and money.

I could go on and on, but I will explain what actually motivates women, and to a lesser degree, men:

Mimetic Desire

See this link for a good description https://mimetictheory.com/articles/mimetic-desire/

In a nutshell, women desire you not because of your inherent qualities, character, or even your looks, but because *other* women desire you, you make her look good and feel wanted, and because you are acceptable to her social sphere.

Guys can relate: you neighbor goes and buys a nice BMW. Now you want a BMW, even though you are happy with your current car

In turn, women imitate the behavior of other women: when her friends start "settling down", she feels the social pressure to do the same. When they run around and fuck chads, she will do this as well --even if she does not want to!

I am a decent looking guy, but the only time I ended up with a girl who was a solid 9 (would have been a 10 if she had been a little taller) was because I had a little fling with her best friend years earlier. Her friend talked me up to such a degree that the hottie began to desire me. Again, mimetic desire.

In Jane Austin's Emma, our beautiful and rich heroine is unmoved by any man, including Mr. Knightly, until a woman better than herself, Jane Fairfax, takes a liking to Knightly. Then Emma starts having feelings for him.

Red Pill theory has a flaw in that it assumes to some degree women think like men. They don't. They are not as calculating, mercenary, and hot/cold. They lack self-awareness because they think in a kind of social ocean, and they hate being held accountable for anything, because they feel they are merely following social convention.

When you start understanding mimetic desire, you will start understanding how women think, and to a lesser degree men (we are not immune to this).
