So my family is good with money. If I inherited $15,000 I would tell my husband. I would tithe $1,500, keep maybe $1,000-2000 for myself to buy something fun, give my husband $1,000-2000, and with the remaining $10,000 ish, do things like:

pay off a chunk of the mortgage

pay off any cars

pay off a chunk of any student loans

invest

put it into retirement accounts

Etc.

If there was something I truly wanted, like a car or a handbag, I would definitely let my husband know.

According to MGTOW, a man doing this is a simp. According to MGTOW, a husband and wife are not a team, but enemies. The man shouldn’t invest into the family or team, but instead go “MINE MINE MINE”

This sort of thinking blows my mind. My coworker’s husband once inherited a chunk of money, enough to pay off university tuition for their son. He died and she still doesn’t know what he did with that money. So it’s not like he put it into his 401k or something.

Her son didn’t go to college because he couldn’t afford it. Her son is okay, but he could have gotten a bachelors degree with minimal or no loans if her husband wasn’t a jackass.
