https://www.businessinsider.com.au/facebook-post-shaming-working-mothers-viral-2018-12

The post, shared a week ago, has two lines: one following women who are away from home for many hours, and women who are at home all the time. The contrast, the author believes, is stark.

While stay at home mums make “nutritious and delicious” dinners, play games with their children, and are frequently intimate with their husbands, mothers with careers bring home fast food, have weekends full of chores, and never have sex.

Whilst I am not a fan of career women in terms of dating them. I feel this post by this woman is rather condescending and extreme. Just because someone has decided to choose a different path in life than you doesn't mean that you should belittle them for it.

The owner of the page, Lori Alexander, has since written about her flowchart going viral in a blog. She said it wasn’t her intention to shame working mothers, but to “teach young women what God has commanded I teach them.”

Using religion to push forward your agenda, especially if I feel that is not consistent with said Religious teaching, always makes me shake my head in disgust. Makes me feel that she herself has some resentment about being at home and is projecting it towards those with a career.

I know that I have said bad things about career women, and I probably will continue to do so in the future. But I am against extremism and unfairness. Like a career woman who only saw her husband once a week I would think would be very extreme and unfair to their relationship. But that's just me.

Ok, now for some questions:

What do you think of the facebook post?

Have you ever come across someone with similar views?

Do you think career women are discriminated against when it comes to dating?
