Every man ( Or woman, if she did the same ) here who's read a significant amount of women's dating profiles or general social media interests. I usually see with a frequency of up to 1 in 15 women stating they either like reading about serial killers, or criminal psychology, or something of that nature. Those are the same women who enjoy "Dark Humor".

I've checked male profiles and male accounts and I can't see a similar hobby in so much as 1 in a 1000. In all likelihood it seems a man will usually only develop a "significant interest" on the topic if he plans on becoming one for the purpose of obtaining technical knowledge, or else if he's a certified psychiatrist.

So what's the deal with that? Are those women driven by their subconscious fascination with the Dark Triad, is it because theyr'e so fragile and risk averse and thus they are thrilled by the stories which are the opposite of their own psyche, is it because they are hyper-social/emotional and getting into the brain of someone they don't understand is irresistible for them, same reason there are so many female psychology majors? What's behind this apparent disparity?
