MGTOW here. I don't hate women. Far from it. I hate the way that every time I was cheated on, women managed to justify the betrayal of trust rather than just breaking up with me.

I hate that my mother got away with abusing me and my father and anytime he fought back, he wound up arrested.

I hate that my mother was an unfit parent and awarded custody which continued my abuse, and took me away from my dad. This was at a time before the internet and Amber alerts and such. I hate that my dad had to spend a fortune on investigative services to find me.

I hate that my daughter was my child by myself for 10 years while her mother abandoned us when our kid was 8 months old. The courts determined that she deserves custody when she came back into the picture and she didn't have to pay any back due child support.

No, I don't hate women, I have sisters and a daughter. I hate the way that society and law favor women rather than applying things equally. I don't see relationships with women as being worth while.

I've always held the opinion that MGTOW's aren't totally comprised of loser incels like most posters believe. I'm sure some of them are incels but i'd say that the density of incels is greater on Redpill sub than the MGTOW sub.

This is how i see MGTOW's. They loved women once and were totally bluepill till reality kicked in via a woman or via a family court.

The MGTOW malice is much more stronger towards women than Redpill and being a Man, i would say that such malice towards women comes in only after being in close proximity to a woman(This removes incels from the picture).

A typical MGTOW in my opinion is a Middle aged man who was bluepilled once and then had to go through family courts and then realised that he's in a rigged system.

So, coming to the OP, MGTOW don't love women they USED to love women.

Former MGTOW here. I loved women during my MGTOW days. I have a sister, a mother, and female friends I all love and respect. I grew up in a family of successful women; 3 Ph.D.s and 4 M.A.s (between 4 women) in my immediate family.

My MGTOW journey wasn't about women. It was about me. I realized I wasn't ready for a relationship and thinking about what I thought I needed to be in order to be a lovable partner just made me sad and anxious. I focused on myself and stopped trying to be something so I could just be myself. It was a liberating feeling, not worrying about what women want from a man.

I know the greater MGTOW community has a lot to do with angry divorcees, and they have a good space to vent (a lot of negative coverage of the movement focuses on them because they can get really heated), but I've found other guys like me who just wanted to hang out and do guy things together and NOT talk about women or worry about going out to get women. My sex drive fell off a cliff and I was perfectly happy to get my sex fix from porn for a while. I found myself able to relate to women as people when I wasn't thinking about sex, and nixing the relationship itch took it to another level. I started noticing women anxious about me because I wasn't falling all over them. I had something they wanted and wasn't giving. It was a great revelation to realize that I was actually desirable, just me the way I am. That changed my whole paradigm.

My journey through MGTOW led me into my current relationship, which is hands down the best, most mature and reciprocal relationship I've ever been in. It worked for me, and I still managed to love women as a MGTOW.

There are all kinds of MGTOWs out there. The ones that post on the subreddit are the most women-obsessed.

Then there are guys with multiple female friends and healthy interactions with women in day to day life, but no desire to date or have a long term relationship.

There are definitely many kinds of people who describe themselves as MGTOW it's difficult to generalize like this.

You probably notice by now (since you've been strolling the comment section) some MGTOWs really had terrible experiences with women and the legal system which they often iterate with agonizingly rich details, but I would guess that at least a quarter of them are just guys who want to find some justifications to hate women in general because they've never had success with any. Crude I know but that's just me telling you what I noticed.

At the end of the day, guys are still guys, and we can't avoid falling for women one way or the other. There's a good reason why RPW is a very attractive idea (and likewise lots of RPW are also looking for RPM) since at the end of the day, everybody still want to get laid. It's just in most cases MGTOWs grew a kind of cynicism and distrust of women in general, so it might be tough to trust women at that point but still don't refrain them from 'loving' women if you forget how crazy they can be when push come to shove.

I have to mention though, I do realize however that some self-proclaimed MGTOWs do indeed sound too sour to be even taken seriously, especially the ones who just went by and drop short nasty comments about women. I think it's harmful to have people like this since it enforces that stereotype that MGTOWs are women hater. Of course most of us should know that's not the case but not everyone wants to bother in understanding a grey area concept like that.

I think that you are conflating some quite different ideas; MGTOW has little-to-nothing to do with Red Pill, and neither of which have much to do with MRAs.

Some individuals might be in more than one camp, but go watch GirlWritesWhat or TyphonBlue and then come back and tell me that they are misogynist.

It's well known that they often confuse ambivalent sexism with not being sexists (the "but I love women" defense, as if wanting to fuck them means that you aren't holding sexist beliefs against them) or that they don't realize that they are sexist because they don't realize that stereotypes aren't facts.

I think this post has a lot of potential for good conversation, but could you please add more information about the MGTOW argument for why they say they love women? It might also be helpful to also include a link to the specific video, but a written description would be better.

Marcus (GFTMOM) did a logical analysis of essentially the same argument:

we must conclude that a woman is bettered when one conducts one’s actions towards her in adherence to her nature. She is made worse when one conduct’s one’s actions towards her in contradiction to her nature. From this it follows that to act justly towards a woman we must conduct our actions according to her nature. To conduct our actions towards a woman in contradiction to her nature is therefore unjust. From this it then follows that an action directed towards a woman which is in contradiction to her nature is a misogynistic action and an action directed towards a woman in compliance with her nature is not a misogynistic action.

Therefore, misogyny is behavior directed towards a woman which is in contradiction to her nature. Or, in other words, treating a woman as anything other than a woman is misogyny.

As MGTOW have concluded that a woman’s essence includes things like hypergamy, in-group bias, a timeboxed fertility window, inferior intelligence, inferior strength, a limited capacity to dealing with stress, and so on, then it follows that to treat a woman as if she does not possess these qualities as part of her nature is misogyny.

This is a radical inversion of the garden variety understanding of misogyny as presented by feminists.

Well, as an expansion, I've seen one argument from TFM that says that MGTOW are the only ones that can look at women objectively, and therefore are the only ones that can acknowledge their flaws and their weaknesses, and love them accordingly.

MGTOW consists of many men with reasons to go their own way. Some are volcels (dont want women), some are incels (want love from women but hurt by them instead) and some have had enough of women even though they still "love" the idea of them.

Some women out there or here actually "get it", they get that some "good men" do suffer much worse than most "bad women" because of society's structure and treatment of men and women in general.

Men, by nature, want women to love them and they just want to love, biologically its how men are. But if you look at how things are today surely you can see why most men are turned away, they dont want the pain, it is hard work to keep that urge... but the thought of pain is worse.

Female oppression in the west is mostly myth, both male and female have equal rights.... but not the same, so biologically and function wise, they are not equal, forcing the latter to be "equal" is just causing confusion, misguidance and ultimately unhappiness to both.

Perception wise, young women traded as sex slaves in poor countries... now thats oppression. Young boys being sold to westerners for the same reason... thats oppression.

The only group of people who are oppressed ultimately are the poor...

I think the men that go out of their way the most to say how much they dislike, hate or disapprove of women are the ones who actually love them the most. This is why I think the MGTOW's that stick around and do not go their own way cling onto it so hard. This is also why they seem to get so offended by shaming language similar to "misogynist", actual misogynists do not really care if people are saying that about them.
