I want love, I’m not that young. Which isn’t to say I want love and some slob who won’t do anything. Fortunately I didn’t have to settle in either department.

[–]MyPasswordisPutin 1 points1 points1 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I know right? Everything is so either or like they never heard of compromise or adjustment. DIY misery.

[–]OfSpock2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A lot of red pill/incel men seem to think every man has the same number of points. If they spend them all on looks, then they must be dumb or lazy. In actual fact, some men just have more points and they get with women who also have more points.

[–]RepresentativeData0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

It seems "either or" to me because if you love someone, and they turn out to be a slob who won't do anything, then you just go find someone else to love in an instant, it displays a view of love that does not jive with my own. The fact that you can just go love someone else on the drop of a hat, makes love seem like it's very transient to you and that it lacks a loyalty inherent to my definition of love.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Nobody falls in love “in an instant”. And nobody here — men or women — wants a lazy SO who doesn’t contribute to the household if you’re living together.

[–]RepresentativeData-2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

But to me if you fall in love with a lazy person, you should be stuck with them. You might not like it, but if your love is not strong enough to survive something like that, you don't love the person.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

You “should be stuck with them”? That is not how love and relationships work. If you start growing resentment it very easily could eventually decline the feelings of love you have for someone. You seem to be under the impression that romantic love is unconditional. It is not.

[–]RepresentativeData-3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You seem to be under the impression that romantic love is unconditional.

That's what I thought it would be, and since it's not, I don't want it.

[–]whichbladeNA Paler Shade of Purple4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You thought your love was unconditional too?

[–]RepresentativeData1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes. Love is not desirable to me unless I'm at least under the delusion that it's reciprocally unconditional. It's not even love if it's not unconditional, so call it something else.

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You’re missing out man but do whatever you want.

[–]theambivalentrooster2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, if I was a disgusting slob loser I'd want a woman who loved me and would fuck me despite the fact I looked, acted and smelled like shit.

But then she'd be even more stupid than I am. Because that's what unconditional love looks like.

[–]RepresentativeData-1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

And if I was a real bitch I'd ghost a semi-attractive woman who I was "in love" with, for a super hot model Stacey. Except I wouldn't do that because my love actually means something! Bonds motherfucker! You don't break those unless you treat your relationships like a pragmatic sociopath!

[–]TheBookOfSeilCuckleberry Finn-3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

He's saying that you can't help who you love, and that love isn't (or shouldn't be) dependent on how much easier your life is when you have them around, and if it is, then you didn't really "love" them, in the sense of what the word means.

Kinda sounds like he's coming from the TRP view that "Men love women. Women love what men do for women."

[–]sublimemongrelBecky, Esq.7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yeah no, men don’t want lazy ass SOs who don’t contribute either. Nobody wants an SO you have to basically parent. It’s not “dependent” upon how much someone makes your “life easier,” but you’re bound to start causing resentment if your SO is taking care of you all the time and you’re not even trying to pitch in.

[–]whichbladeNA Paler Shade of Purple0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's not true because many men are willing to have young pretty wives that don't do shit but look good.

[–]darla101 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

“Willing to have”? Lol. He knows exactly he’s getting. It’s transactional. I would say it’s even more superficial.

I am confused. People want both, right?

[–]Atlas_B_Shruggin🔪Yeetus that Feetus🔪10 points11 points12 points 8 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

The normal way of expressing this is young girls are carefree and marriage age women are looking for marriages. I'm not sure exactly how this became some amazing Revelation to anyone

[–]LifterofThingsDelicate Feminine Flower3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I read that and was like "... well duh. Welcome to adulthood."

[–]reluctantly_red-2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

The problem is that women convince themselves they're looking for a partner when they are actually looking for someone to save them from the results of their poor life choices.

Its not news. Just don't dress it up as something it isn't.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Date people who don't make poor life choices.

[–]Atlas_B_Shruggin🔪Yeetus that Feetus🔪4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Why? How does it serve women not to dress it up however they want?

[–]reluctantly_red-4 points-3 points-2 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Of course they're going to camouflage it. Guys can then call them out regarding the obfuscation.

Of course it won't.

Getting red pilled changed my romantic life dramatically.

women know thats what they're doing, they also know that it would be dumb as hell and ineffective to outright say that

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

ok, then don't be surprised when men don't say to you "the only reason we're marrying you is for sex, because that's all you're really good for"

Oh my fucking god I grew up with these parents and am in this situation with my wife who had an emotional affair with a guy who reliably has months old dishes covering his kitchen counter, stray cats and fleas in his appt.

Every time I hear about the choreplay/housework thing it's like a hot needle in my fucking skull.

marriage counseling - the last stop before divorce court.

Nope. Wife affair is do not pass go, do not collect $200, proceed directly to divorce. Wife affair is game over. Period. Full stop.

And.... It's more than an emotional affair. She's already fucked him. How else do you know about his housekeeping deficits? How else would she know?

You're being trickle truthed. Eject now.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well he was my best mate & we've spent a fair chunk of time at his place together. He's since been excommunicated along with anything in the house he ever gave me or my wife. I mean obv i'm not convinced they never banged - how could I be? But this stuff is the meat & potatoes I'm ok to hail-mary for 3 months before upping sticks. Its more for my own peace of mind than anything. I have a strong belief of having to have "look we tried" on the books before more severe stuff.

If I'm not convinced my trust is rebuilt by the end of that then we're done.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah man so great to be the "man with a gut and a comfortable sedan" who "makes you laugh and cooks a mean quesadilla".

And in return gets a dead bedroom and getting cucked by the neighborhood poolboy or the wife's ex who's now "changed" and wants her back.

[–]reluctantly_red2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

But what they don’t realize is that women grow independent with age ...

This hasn't been my experience. Women grow more independent in their 20s then mess up or just never achieve their goals.

Rather than reevaluating her life she goes looking for a guy to save her from her own poor choices.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Don’t you know happy people who pay their own bills? Is everyone a mercenary?

[–]reluctantly_red1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

Lots of women certainly seem to be.

Women who do pay their bills are equally as mercenary (if not more so). These women are not looking for a savior -- they're looking to leverage their decent position in life into something even better.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Uh doesn’t anyone in your area just fall in love?

[–]reluctantly_red1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Every first date is like a bloody job interview.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

: (

[–]reluctantly_red0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

I think its because there are so many guys with decently paying jobs or other wealth in the greater Bay Area. With a surplus of "good" men women can demand pretty much anything.

It's Economics 101.

I live and work on the far fringe of the greater SF Bay Area so I'm geographically inconvenient and get paid less than I would if I worked for a more central county. I get out competed all the time in the romantic market place. If I could find similar employment in the midwest life would be a lot easier -- unfortunately that's not where the jobs and opportunities are.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I keep hearing the Bay Area is unhealthy in non tangible ways so there must be something to it. It just depresses me to hear people are so unhappy and cannot find love in this age of miracles.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

When a woman gets to around 27 or 28 and still hasn't locked it down, it's about "save me from my poor choices".

THe happy people who pay bills are the ones who married for mutual sexual attraction.

[–]BothWaysItGoesLibertarian-1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]ContrasexualWomanPurple and Polyamourous WGTOW0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Nah, dude. If it's a choice, love wins out.

[–]TheBookOfSeilCuckleberry Finn0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

So, an affair, then?

[–]ContrasexualWomanPurple and Polyamourous WGTOW0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Why would it have to be an affair?

[–]TheBookOfSeilCuckleberry Finn0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I was slightly joking by making the assumption that a woman had already made a choice to be with a "partnership" man, and then a man that she actually "loved" came into the picture.

[–]ContrasexualWomanPurple and Polyamourous WGTOW0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ah, okay. I suppose that could happen, but think it would be more difficult to love someone you're not in a partnership with.

[–]TheBookOfSeilCuckleberry Finn0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Things happen. Some people simply walk into our lives and we just never want them to leave. It's unfortunate in those situations, but they do happen.

[–]reluctantly_red0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (41 children) | Copy Link

The OP is total freaking BS!!!

So called "grown" women don't want a partner they want a savior. She wants a guy who -- while she was pissing away her youth -- got the credentials and experience needed to provide the life she thinks she deserves.

[–]Jammerly1 1 points1 points1 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I think you should stop dating spoiled ass women. None of my friends are like that. We were all taught from early on that anything I. Life you want, you have to go get it, no man is just going to hand it to you. Of course, we’re all feminist, so that’s the trade off.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There are educated working class women - they might work at nonprofits, for example. Or they might be going to nursing school, or teachers. No one said scrape the bottom of the barrel, jeez, lol.

[–]reluctantly_red0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't consider, teachers, RNs who have at least a BA, or women employed in professional capacities in non-profits working class. Its about more than just the size of the paycheck.

I've had quite a few dates with teachers lately.

-no I’m not broke, or clamoring to be somebody’s baby mama, and don’t need to rely on “the state” for anything. I make 6 figures a year handily on my own and am also well educated.

  • if what you’re saying is true, that the choice for women is naivety or awareness, I choose awareness any day of the week. This is the female version of the red pill; that masculine sexuality is predatory and exploitative by nature. And I don’t think greater female submissiveness will solve that problem, at least not for black women. I know women who spend 2-3 days a week at church crying and praying to be better wives for husbands who ultimately don’t give a shit about them. Black women are loyal to black men to a fault. Black men are just as risky for romantic partnerships. Ultimately, I wouldn’t want to be with a guy attracted to female naivety, because that is a man looking for a woman he can exploit and will use up her best years for solely his own interests. And when his better deal comes along, She will ultimately be left alone to raise a bunch of kids anyway.

And why do you think black men don't care about women or their families?

Also I don't believe I theorized you as low income. Even though you were abstracted anyways.

Because they have shown us repeatedly through of course of action that they will put their own interests ahead of their children, every single time.

Why black men specifically? And could you create a relationship in which they had their interests aligned with yours?

Why black men specifically?

Because of the reasons outlined in my Original Post - primarily scarcity principle and the assumption that they have black women’s undying loyalty pretty much no matter what. Also because they are lagging behind their peers in terms of employment and many just give up. My hypothesis is basically that when women have to compete for men, the entire community suffers because the men left over lose their motivation to be great. Many women will lose out, and thus the “strong black woman who don’t need no man” is born. Unfortunately, she usually has kids before she figures out that trying to have a monogamous relationship in that kind of marketplace is nearly impossible, and she would have been better off getting educated and building a life for herself without the expectation of black male companionship. But, as you so aptly put, that requires her to survey the landscape around her and abandon her naivety.

And could you create a relationship in which they had their interests aligned with yours?

On an individual level, sure. But I’m also educated, conventionally attractive, not built overly voluptuous, and making good money so I have a lot of men from other races competing for me. It’s hilarious how quickly black men will shape up when they think they have to compete.

Women who don’t have those things i mentioned are going to struggle, and I don’t have an answer as to how they can convince men in their league to choose monogamy. They don’t have to, so a lot of them won’t. A lot of black men will ask a woman to have kids with him before asking her to marry and many desperate women who need a man to save them will do it.

The best thing IMO that Black women can do is to do everything in their power to increase their own SMV, be hypergamous, and force black men to compete.

It's too bad they can't do both at the same time.

Young girls want tingles. Grown women want money.

...and tingles

[–]blackedoutfastRed Pill Man-2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

sounds more like grown women want a personal assistant, chef, and maid who will work for free.

Isn’t that what men want?

[–]randomcarrotaf1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Its what everyone probably wants so yes...

Does "Partnership" mean "team effort" which relates to "Beta bux," or is partnership all-encompassing, meaning that women will accept a team player (Beta guy), but still desire an attractive "co-worker" if they can find one?

[–]sadomasochristnAWALT = Not red pilled0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago* (10 children) | Copy Link

Partnership is diametrically opposed to arousal.

[–]LifterofThingsDelicate Feminine Flower6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why would this be an "either/or" situation? Adult life does not mostly consist of wild sex in club bathrooms -- you can pick a partner who shares your values, that you can build a life with that you also sometimes want to bang in club bathrooms.

[–]wekacuckstupid buggy bot3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What do you mean by that? Why wouldn't you want to partner with someone you're attracted to.

[–]concacanca1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why?

[–]PennnyLameMade a margarita once1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

No it’s not. It’s not exactly the same thing but they are not at odds.

[–]sadomasochristnAWALT = Not red pilled0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Corrected my statement. Opposed to arousal.

[–]PennnyLameMade a margarita once1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Still wrong.

[–]wekacuckstupid buggy bot0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It's your own personal experience that you cannot be aroused by a partner?

[–]sadomasochristnAWALT = Not red pilled0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Female mate selection for a LTR is to select against most features of arousal. Men don't really care, which is how this problem started to begin with.

Partnerships are fine on an ethical relational level. They fail on arousal dynamics.

[–]wekacuckstupid buggy bot1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Guys who settle down with someone they can't arouse only have themselves to blame.

[–]TheBookOfSeilCuckleberry Finn1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah, so this partner's role is more for the providership, comfort and long-term security that the "Beta bux" concept illustrates than for a sexy, rugged and ripped conductor adding fuel for the feels-trip aboard the Crazy Train. Got it.
