Let's say I do something bad in a relationship. Like I screw up and piss off my partner somehow. Now she's all pissed off about this or that, and it's making problems for me. Basically what I've learned over the years is to "change her mood, not her mind."

So instead of actually addressing the issue, I'll poke her with a goofy look on my face, slap her butt, pick her up and carry her around, tickle her, etc until she comes around, and then when she is all giggly and wiggly again I'll bang the daylight out of her.

And then I'll hold her close and say something like "I'm so sorry babe, love ya." And then it's like not an issue anymore. She actually won't want to discuss the substance of the dispute at that point, and she'll generally just give me whatever I want.

It's very contrary to my intuition, the way I tried to solve problems when I was younger, and what I was taught by most people in my life was to try and actually address the issues, talk to her about her feelings, try to come to some kind of consensus on the actual issues, and maybe pay some form of bribe to get what I want.

But in my experience this doesn't work very well and like 95% of women's problems are just her being emotional and dramatic in the heat of the moment. IMO it's much better to address those kind of problems by changing her mood, CMV
