A male stereotype, in this case, is an assumption, about the sexual appeal of a male, based on some non-sexual characteristic. For example, a common one is that if a guy is a nerd, he is not as sexually attractive presumably, as if this fact was not shared.

My own two examples:

  1. Every time, or 99% of the time I mention in the first conversation with a girl that I work as a software engineer, or work with computers, their interest in the conversation and me decreases, and I don't end up going on any date with them or going any further. When I don't mention this fact in the first conversation, my success rate is far higher.

  2. Recently, I changed my profile picture on several social media sites, and my tinder profile, to a picture of me surfing. Just after that, I began to receive much more attention, I got a much higher match rate on tinder, and I had a few girls on FB who hadn't messaged me in over a year comment on the photo and message me to start a conversation. They started with "Oh wow! I had no idea you surfed! That is dreamy :)".

Nothing about me between my last profile picture and the surfer one changed significantly. Same muscularity, same haircut, complexion, tan, etc.

My view is, women assume the sexual gratification they will get from a man, based on superficial stereotypes, that don't directly influence biological feelings of attraction. CMV.
