Love is an addiction to the oxytocin that is released when I'm near or thinking of my boyfriend. In this sense, I am only in love with the way he makes me feel. Why does that make it not real or trivial? Do you think men love any different?

I think love is a bit of nebulous concept that can be defined somewhat differently from person to person. For me, I've been with my husband for 11 years, which includes two job losses on his part. I love him, in that he is my best friend, my partner in crime, someone whom I could not imagine my life without. I'd do just about anything for him. Have we had our ups and downs? Certainly. The first time he lost his job, it put a severe strain on our relationship. I was working full time, we were living with my parents, and I would come home to him not having lifted a finger to do things like dishes or laundry, playing World of Warcraft, with not a single application sent out or recruiter contacted, even though I would sit and make lists of avaliable jobs and contacts for him. He was depressed, and I was trying my best to help him, but there came a time when I had to say that if he didn't get his shit together, I was gone. This was the last thing I wanted to happened, and when I thought about him not being a part of my life, it made me want to vomit. It wasn't the job loss, it was his lack of effort that was causing the problem.

But according to TRP, if I would have filed for divorce, it is proof that I didn't really love him, and I'm a gold digging whore.

So anyway, to address to the rest of what you wrote. You say women only love the way men make them feeeeeeeel. No shit. Romantic love for someone is, and should be based on how that person makes you feel. Does this person make your feel good about yourself and your relationship? Why the hell would you be with someone who makes you feel like shit about those things? This is true for both men and women. This is why TRP recommends men implement dread game, because they do not like how their wives are making them feel: immasculated, unwanted, etc... you feel like shit about your relationship and your wife, hence why you came to TRP in the first place.

What do you think men's love is based on? Loving someone for who they are, unconditionally? Yes, that explains why men cheat and even leave their wives for gaining weight, aging, "being a nagging bitch," and not putting out. And please don't invoke fact that women initiate divorce more than men. That doesn't tell us shit about which party loved the other one more, and what that love was based on.

Job loss for a spouse is very stressful ( been there) it takes a.HUGE toll on the man. If he goes without a job for a long time (not unheard of in this economy) it can lead to depression and iritabiliy and he might think himself not capable or doubt himself.

These things on top of the financial stress can lead to.a.break down in the relationship.

So I don't think job loss is the direct factor but cam have a cascading effect.

I think you are largely correct in stating this. However, the word "love" has been so abused that it doesn't mean much nowadays. Once a woman has been with much more than 4 partners, she becomes emotionally stunted and incapable of forming deep lasting bonds with anyone.

The situation is much like the word "marriage" or the word "vow".

In fact, the usual marriage vows contain language that would make it impossible for a marriage to ever be dissolved for reasons other than cheating or abuse. However, we know that no fault divorce exists, and it is initiated by women 90% of the time.

That can only mean that marriage vows don't mean jack to most women and many men. Frankly, given the potential for misunderstanding, the vows should be simply scrapped, and the marriage reduced to a quantifiable legal contract document (so many dollars a week, so many spa treatments a month, this much and no more sex a week, etc.) signed in presence of witnesses. It would certainly make marriage more honest, affordable, and equitable today. Whether it remains desirable, shorn of the disingenuous back story, is a different question.

This could potentially save millions of men from divorce every year.

Love is looking at all the aspects of a person, their greatest strengths and deepest flaws and saying "I want this person in my life. They make me happy, and I want to make them happy too." Love is about who someone is, not what they have. Maybe other people see it differently, but the loss of a job would never turn me away from someone I truly loved.

Well depends on the situation. If the man lost his job and the woman after some weeks AND the man was trying his best to be employed but then left. Shitty wife. Now if the husband was just sitting around not bothering with it, and the wife was having to work and it went on for months? Then shitty husband. Losing a carrer is tough but ya need a job to live..

So, when I say that most women are "incapable of love," I mean that most women have been conditioned by society for their whole life to confuse lust and love and that it is difficult for them to experience true love.

This also applies to all of the men who complain about their wives not giving them as much sex as they want. I agree with your thesis when it comes to western society, but don't think that it only applies only to women compared to men
