I ghost all the time. People who can't take hints won't take hints regardless, but for the most part I genuinely don't want my "rejection" to be taken as some greater sign that there's something wrong with the other person. I prefer just floating away.

It might be connected to the fact that I moved around a lot as a kid, so I got really acclimated to the ease in which people disappear from one another's lives. I don't take it personal when people drift off and do other things. I'm pretty intro, so I don't really want permanence most of the time anyway.

I love when people ghost me as well - If someone isn't around regularly, I just kind of naturally stop noticing they're gone. No harm, no foul. I'd prefereable than them needing to stop my day and inform me that they don't want to be around me anymore - like, babe, you had me at "I'm leaving", I don't really care beyond that. Bye!

Short of hiring a private investigator you cannot know for sure if the new guy is really single until you have been with him awhile. You can run background checks and scan social media but sometimes men are good at sneaking around. This is one reason it is important to wait for sex until the relationship is established- no risk of sleeping with a married man if you have met his parents and had dinner with his siblings, right?

Think I'm the first to chime in yet with suggesting, "the fade away.." or whatever the old timers here call it. Straight up ghosting is too cold if you've already met someone. Unless they creeped you out of course.

If they want, but imo, He should feed her first. If anybody cooks, it should be him. Guys don't trip, it's in your best interest for multiple reasons. Again, imo.

Do they have an extra toothbrush at their place. Do they not or can't text during a specific window of time that sounds suspicious or shady. Do they sound believable or "well umm," in any way if you ask them or give them a reason they should volunteer the information.

Obviously attentive, and touchy for easy starters

Really never, if a dude, but both probably fall under Atlas's masculinity tokens rule. Just sparingly sprinkled here and there, not a constant trait addded.

They ghost b/c telling someone you don't want to see them again is awkward, and it's easier to just quit talking to them.

There is no socially acceptable way other than talking to that other person. Eventually they will say something about having a girlfriend or boyfriend. If you are a guy and the girl you're talking to mentions stuff her boyfriend enjoys or does at the very start of the conversation it should be pretty clear that she doesn't want you to hit on her.

This is a hard one. All kinds of personalities, depending on the man.

If he's a player, he will fuck whatever, her being slutty is just gravy.
If he's not a player and has a bad relationship at home, he'll likely feel attracted to a woman displaying positive traits opposite to those negative traits his GF at home displays.

Ideally never, especially for men. But women can start to show vulnerability after dating a while, once they feel the guy might think about turning it into a LTR.

Cause it's easy and takes less energy than the alternative. That's just it.

Ghosting is the default way if breaking it off now. It's cowardly but Milennials are extremley conflict avoidant as a group. I fucking hate that shit. I would always rather a solid no than an ambiguous silence. A text message with a no always beats a "figure it out yourself".

Personally I also think that that kind of passive aggressiveness would just make you a poor partner anyway, so it's not even that. It's mostly about the principal. I can respect an upfront no. I won't respect the silence.

One thing I always find fun is running into the ghoster later. Because obviously unless this is OLD you're in at least adjacent circles and it's gonna happen. Once I saw a woman run out of a room when she saw I was in it and she ghosted me like a year ago as if I cared beyond 5 seconds after the last text I sent. Another time I saw one staring at me from a window when she thought I wasn't looking. If you ghost apparently you have to commit to the ghost at all times because lord forbid you be uncomfortable for 30 seconds.

Just ask, although there's kind of an art to it, I suppose. Being too direct sounds awkward, while being too indirect in asking sounds cheesy.

Just asking them directly avoids trouble of finding out later.

Sure, if she wants to. In my experience women tend to do that to try to establish themselves as GF material rather than hookup. But keep in mind that while that might set up expectations in your mind the guy isn't necessarily going to reciprocate. Don't cast things out as bait if you can't emotionally afford to lose them.

Assume they are seeing other people until you know otherwise.

That's backwards, it's not that a girl wears green shits and that attracts taken men to her. It's that she is attracted to the kind of men most likely to be taken men or players and chooses them over other guys. She just doesn't know she is doing it. On dating apps women have hordes of men to chose from.

Too much is never good. It also depends how needy the guy is. If you are attracted to say aloof guys then it's going to be a big turnoff at any point in a relationship. Don't be needy at the very least until exclusive and even then keep in in check.
