Look, nice has historically been just that.

Nice was the young man, that while not particularly exciting, knows how to keep the farm or business running, keeps the money coming in, takes the family to church on Sunday. Maybe he isn't exciting or exotic but he is a good partner, traditionally what a lot of women knew they were lucky to have.

Nice was the young girl that may not look like a made up movie star, but knew how to cook, how to keep a house, and how to be the other half of the equation that was the absolute bedrock of civilization. More than a few guys knew they were lucky to have such a woman in their lives.

In most ways, the nice guy, the true nice guys, haven't changed all that much.

What is a nice guy getting if he works hard, treats people well, and marries a modern "nice girl". He gets all the attitude, and maybe more, as if he had married a much hotter woman. When the feelings of lust wear off, she takes half of everything he currently owns and gets an ongoing stake on any future wealth he makes. If he just "isn't lucky" a few years later the "nice girl" has three kids from three different guys, ugly tattoos, is fat, and has a serious attitude problem. I know, I've been on both sides of the modern nice guy equation. Women are the reason I quit being any form of nice guy.

Well, I don't know about others, but when i was in middle school, I remember assemblies being set up for the boys (the girls got to go out to the yard and play). In these assemblies, there would always be 3-5 women, I always thought they were "old", but I think they were in their mid to late 20's. The vast majority of the time they were overweight, and ugly, I remember only woman who, in my juvenile mind I thought "damn, she's hot". Anywho, in this assembly, these women would tell us that men who choose a mate based on looks were "bad", that they were "cruel", and the reason for that is that women do not choose mates based on looks.

They then went on to tell us that having a desire for sex is wrong and that we need to be aware of our desire so that we can suppress it. They talked how we needed to respect women, and ask them out nicely, because "women like nice guys, they want someone they can have a family with and grow old with, not a guy who's here one day and there the next". They talked a bunch of other bs too, but a few years later, when puberty hit, you could see the disparity. The guys who couldn't break through that bullshit, the guys who actually thought that women wanted a guy to "grow old with" at the age of 16. And you continued to see that disparity all throughout highschool, college, university. Then, by the time women actually want guys to "grow old with", the guys who have assumed that since they were told to assume it, and therefore opted out of the "fuck anything that moves" phase, didn't have any (or very little) experience with women. I'm now at that age. My female friends are coming off the carousal, all tired and dizzy, with a sore pussy, and asking "where are all the guys that I can grow old with?". A few guy friends are sitting there going like "fuck it, I'm not growing old with with women who went through the carousal".

The other guys? the guys who figured out that those assemblies were bullshit early? Well they are the guys who's first time having sex was a result of feeding the girl shots of vodka. Those were the guys who spent their late teens and early 20's literally hitting on anything and everything with a pussy. Most of those guys are miserable, sitting in a relationship because they feel like that's what they are supposed to do at this age. Most of them complain to me about how they aren't sure if they can spend the rest of their lives with the woman they are with. They drink, or play video games, or are on percs or some other drug to get through the grind at work, then the grind with their girlfriends/wives at home. And the few of them, the very very few of the guys who partied, asked out every woman around, fed women shots to get them drunk, a few of those guys are happy. A handful of those very very few guys are happy because they are still doing those exactly same things at 29.

Well first-off, you need boundaries to not be a doormat. I think some people don't develop those due to upbringing or something. It's as if a girl decides Brad Pitt is my her future husband. She writes Brad Pitt letters, puts in 30 hours of effort a week. He doesn't return her love, she get angry because she was so nice.

Or if a girl decides to sleep with 50 men because she likes making people happy or something and now everyone calls her a slut, she gets angry because she was so nice.

In both the above cases and yours i think boundaries are needed, so the Brad Pitt writer will not give love to somebody who does not respond in like, and thus put her 30 hours elsewhere. The promiscuous girl needs to again have boundaries to who she gives her affection to. You as well need boundaries so that you do not girls to take advantage of you and to keep yourself from being frustrated

Being nice is the basis of being an attractive partner. You have to offer more. The shallow relationships that young people have, that last for a couple months and end it a breakup are not real relationships.

These "nice guys" and incels think so badly of guys and girls that hop in-and-out of relationships, because they can't tell how they can get a relationship, and they themselves can not.
