I would only respect a woman that wants a LTR. I am by no means interested in hook-ups. If you just want sex, I'm not interested. Simple as that.

To each their own ofcourse, I don't judge. My female friends come from both of these categories. I don't care about their life decisions. It's only that I start caring when I'm in the equation.

I have no problem with chicks who have casual sex and don't require commitment. I've hung out with chicks where the primary motivation for us hanging out was sex. That said, I don't want a plate, so in the way that most people feel some level of disdain for people offering you something you don't want, I would find a woman offering to be my plate unappealing. It just sounds like another arrangement based on expectations, and I hate expectations. Women don't just get sex from me at the push of a button, they have to actually demonstrate sanity and meet my standards ect.

I actually really appreciate the whole "as you're plating her, she's plating you" concept. A girl who has abundance and confidence in getting new partners is a girl who is hopefully not going to get needy or clingy on you, as she has many places to receive the social interaction she wants.

Neither of these things warrants respect or disrespect. Respect usually comes from knowing a person has qualities that are difficult to maintain, like loyalty or discipline or perseverance. Not dating preferences

Respecting women based on their dating preferences is inherently stupid because that is the one area where they deserve the least amount of respect. The amount of work a woman has to put in to obtain what they want is staggeringly smaller than a man's effort, why would I inherently respect anyone who can do what I had to struggle for with minimal effort?

I CAN respect a woman who has qualities worth respecting, like empathy, humor, resolve, kindness.... I mean, if a woman goes against the grain and wants something other than the stock GIVE ME RING, I almost respect her more for it.

I respect people that know what they want and go for it.

As long as she meets that criteria then I will respect her. The only reason I wouldn't respect a woman in those situations is if she wanted monogamy or marriage.

I don't see how marriage brings any kind of respect to a LTR. Marriage is meaningless because divorce exists. The defining feature of marriage was the "until death do us part". It was supposed to be a one way deal. You enter into it and the only way you get out is by death.

Now is not the case, it is only a glorified LTR with legal consequences. Just a contract.

So if you could get a spouse, but choose permanent casual, either because that's what you just want, or because the specific person you want is only offering that, your value remains the same.

I personally don't offer monogamy. Regardless of how much value she brings to the table. Even 9-10 doesn't change that. But their value is still based on what they could get.

I respect anyone who knows what they want, they understand that those are just their wishes and the world owes them nothing, and they express those wishes explicitly and unequivocally.

The opposite of that are people who are manipulative, do/say something as a means to an ulterior end, expect things just because they want them, and are deceitful. Often these people are narcissist/sociopath.

Forever girlfriend, it's more impressive since deep down behind the narcissism most modern women know they are terrible partners. They naturally default to being a plate/side piece because it requires less personal responsibility and if anything goes wrong they can gain sympathy and do the tired 'look what the man did to me' act.
