Some women's hair goes to shit as they age, especially the ones who didn't have good hair to begin with. Some women are literally losing their hair except it thins out evenly while their male counterparts have receeding hairlines and that bowl shape.

Hair gets thinner as we age. Also not all women look good in long hair, some women genuinely look better with short hair. I am not one of those ladies but I envy those who are.

If the women is freshly post partum- well pregnancy can do a number on your hair. Hello bald spots! So that’s why you see the mummy cut.

Victoria beckham had the original karen haircut, and she looked fabulous. These short curls look great on Scarlet johanson and this pixi cut on keira knightly and halle berry. What they all have in common is a petit frame and slim face.

Older women like Emma Thompson and helen mirrem have adopted it and it makes them look sophisticated and elegant - which is an aesthetic older people suit more than younger people.

Small framed women with slim faces look amazing with short hair IMO - whatever the age. It's quite 'tidy' so suits professional women (which are usually older)

Big titty women like myself just look butch with short hair - so it's a no-go.

Age is not kind to women's hair, especially if they've had children, and after a certain point long hair just ages you. An older woman with long, dry, gray hair is sad in the same way a balding man with a comb-over is. Like they're desperately clinging to the fading remnants of youth.

Older women cut their hair because long hair pulls at the face and makes you look older when you reach a certain age. Some women cut it to keep it simple cause they’re busy.

Had my hair all soft of length, from chin length to down half my torso. Guess what?

No matter how much I try to straighten it, the ends always roll back up while it is still straight! If somehow there is humidity in the air, it will go back to the original texture!

For weddings, the curls only stay if I use a ton of hairsprsy which makes it look like made of synthetic material of a wig.

Cut it down to something similar, not regretting anything. I am not old, I am just sick of my hair being a textureless dog furr.

I thought it was due to thinning hair? So they cut it shorter to look fuller Depends on the hairdo tho. Not all young women have long hair either btw

I'm beginning to think either sex's wall is about 50 % weight and 25 % hair.

Its all a package, and some people just age poorly.

For someone who gives up, yea short hair, fat etc all part of the wall. I see this all the damn time at my kids school. You can tell the moms who gave up vrs the ones who didn't easily.

But that doesn't mean short hair = the wall. I find a lot of women make a mistake (IMO) of cutting their hair for a different style. I say a mistake because so many talk about wanting to grow it back out again that I know but the hair then has this in between long and short which they all seem to hate.
