It doesn’t even surprise me any more when I see men react with violence to women, when that woman opens up about something painful/traumatic from her past.

SO pleased to see she’s got her family’s support, got her tooth fixed and will be divorcing that scumbag.

With the disappearing, etc. it sounds like he is cheating. Much of his anger is probably due to projecting the qualities he contains (cheater, promiscuous) onto her and thinking she is the same way.

Edit: Let me correct this. He's abusing her because he actually KNOWS she isn't like this and deep down he can't stand the fact that he IS. That's why he is blaming his actions on her being raped. He doesn't believe she is promiscuous. He's using a past piece of key information as an excuse to abuse her is all. He fucking knows better and is lying.

Men are so messed up. I’ve stopped telling them I’ve been assaulted because EVERY SINGLE ONE of them treated me like damaged goods after I shared. It was so terrible. They never looked at me the same way again. Now I keep it inside. My assault was NOT my fault and no piece of crap man will ever make me feel like it was, or that I’m less than, EVER AGAIN.
