I’ve noticed a lot of my peers have to “lock” down their partners have a DTR talk ASAP. Whereas, I like to have relationships more organically. If things are going well, why do you have to have this “talk?” No one ever defines their friendships. “Hey I’ve noticed you invite me out- are we friends now?” That sounds crazy. For sex, I get it I want to be exclusive with my partner and I do talk about that. Hey, if we are to have sex, I want to be exclusive, is that cool? Then move on. But on top of that, you have to ask someone if you’re boyfriend and girlfriend. It just seems strange to me. No one is really locked down until their married so this whole type of convo seems silly. Actions speak louder then words too. You can define the relationship, and the guy/girl could still see other people behind your back. There’s always risk in a relationship. I hope my rant makes sense lol.

Oh and I know people say, well if you don’t DTR he can see other people, I’m Not talking About exclusive- I totally get that. I’m talking about the whole are we boyfriend and girlfriend? It seems really high schoolish. Do we still need to do that in 2020?
