When you're 19 going out for 1/2 priced appetizers at Applebee's is a great time. When you're 30 you want to sit down for a real dinner and you have the money to do so.

I’m in a personal finance sub for my country and someone was complaining about the high cost of living in our major cities, and included a point about how his budget for dates was high too. Cue a series of people commenting about how their girlfriend/ wife was ok with a coffee or walk in the park and how that’s all they do. I wanna have hope that the nature of the sub is why these people were present (as I’ve literally only been asked to a coffee date once), but it was shocking to read the amount of men going on about how they only do low effort. Of course they went on about how a good woman won’t care about the date, they just want to get to know you 🙄 yeah buddy, I wanna know if you’re a cheap/ broke man who thinks they’ll be adding me to their roster of women 😂

Okay, I reevaluated my life, the results are: I shouldn't be bothered by people who are trying to dictate how I should live my life, especially those who have too much of a free time on hand, so they stick their noses to someone else's business.
