Given how Tiktok’s algorithm works I’d be hesitant to put much stock in any apparent ‘trends’ you encounter. I had a bear of a time getting tiktok to work for me initially, the app was convinced I wanted a fyp that was mostly egirls (you watch one video I swear). I haven’t encountered anything at all like you describe in all this time of using the app (more the opposite really). Tiktok gives you thing it thinks you will find interesting or will engage with so if you start liking or interacting with ‘blackpill’ stuff it’s just going to give you more.

I think that seriously depends on what the algorithm recommends to you. On my feed it's videos of guys wearing dresses, stuff about mental health and guides on red flags/green flags in relationships. The only thing I see girls opening up about are stuff like periods, being rejected and the weird sides of dating we don't usually talk about.

Like youtube, what you see is based on what you watch. I doubt you're getting a bunch of furry and weeb content, but I could go out here saying "well all I see is furry and weeb shit so that must be insanely common"

I'm a 21 y/o female like the girl you describe and I see plenty of content that would fall in line with "bp" thoughts.

Tik Tok is big gay and anything that is mentioned on it that would be given any mass attention are the virtue-signal-y, teen angsty "omg" stuff, the "playing for the opposite team" stuff, and the flat out toxic garbage that people in relationships can identify with. There's literally "MGTOW compilations" on YouTube of clips from Tik Tok videos with women "calling out" other women, and guys talking about/showing their relationship problems with their gfs.

Tik-tok needs the big sleep.

I wish someone had told me that being a 6'1", reasonably in-shape white guy was considered attractive because when I went to university I could have joined clubs and been surrounded by women. It's a real shame because there's quite a surplus of hot chinese and Indian women at that uni, and not many white guys. I might not have developed depression, flunked, and ruined my future if I'd bothered to see what was happening outside my IT classrooms.

Now I'm 24 so I'm too old for that gimmick to work. 😭

This is why I only watch the LGBTQ side of TikTok. Seeing cute boys kissing boys, girls asking out girls for the first time, families accepting their trans son/daughter, gay weddings, etc...it's all so wholesome. Gives me back a little hope for humanity in my dead, blackened, retail crushed heart.
