That's just modern day Internet content for you. It's all clickbait bullshit that's designed to make you want to keep watching and generate ad revenue, or buy merch. Not to knock the RP content creators, but it happens in every sphere. And you wanna know why?

Because all the shit that these people teach and explain can be learned on your own. So they need to convince you that you need their content to learn it, and that's how they make money and keep you coming back for more. You can't really knock them for having a business, but that's why it seems so shady to you. Because most content creators' bottom line is profit. If someone is generously giving game for free, you'll know. Because you'll be like holy shit I can't believe this guy is just telling me this without trying to sell me a 200 page book of mental masturbation or making me listen to 12 minutes of content before dropping even one nugget of wisdom.

As an addendum to that, I'll share an anecdote about myself. I used to obsess over trying to learn learn learn about stuff, and I would consume content like crazy. And I slowly started to realize that none of the shit these people were saying was any new to me. I knew it all in the back of my head. Then I realized that I was just looking for confirmation of my beliefs, and mentally masturbating over consuming "informational" content.

It's not true for everybody, but I learn the most on my own. Every time I try to learn something I start off by perusing hours of clickbait-y advice-giving Youtube content before I realize how much of my time I'm wasting and how much faster I'd learn by going out into the world and trying things myself, fucking up, and learning from it. Fitness, gaming girls, investing...All of these hot topics are just outlets for content creators to listen to themselves talk and get ad revenue. There's a few things you can genuinely learn from Youtube tutorials (working on cars for example), but gaming women is not one of them in my humble opinion. All that shit does is make you dependent on another person's views and overthink shit when you're actually out in the real world.

You can get 200 hours worth of Redpill Youtube content supercharged into your brain by going out and trying to get a girl and having her reject you instead of binge watching 12 minute videos of some guy beating around the bush and saying nothing of actual value. Trying and failing at something is the #1 fastest way to learn something, and nobody can change my mind about that. There is a limit to how much you can learn by listening to another person talk. There's no limit to how much you can learn by going out into the world and making your own mistakes.

Some of them are shady. And fake.

Whenever you have something with real value, you're going to attract parasites who want to insert themselves between the value and your audience, in order to gatekeep it for money. There are plenty of guys out there with no real job skills, who basically try to scratch out a living by repeating for money what I wrote years ago for free. Sometimes repeating it badly, because they didn't understand it in the first place.

Dumb guys will pay the money. Smart guys will dig through the internet, and find the Book of Pook, and the Bitch Management Hierarchy, and learn about Control Game.

In the meantime, I'm not going to waste my life fighting a war with hucksters. Because that time would be better spent either on my personal goals, or in telling you guys what I learned in the course of accomplishing those personal goals, which is what TRP has been about for me all along.

So if you want a short bullshit detector, here you go:

The BEST content is free, because it's written by people who had an idea we were burning to talk about, not bills to pay.
The BEST content is hard to find, because those people don't have time or cargo space for advertising.
The BEST content comes out at a snail's pace, from guys who sometimes write as little as two or three articles a year ... they have real lives outside of selling you magic soap, or hyped-up "seminars", and they talk when they have something important to say, not when they have an electric bill.
The BEST content requires digging into the past. Guys who are burning to say something aren't burning to say it again, after two years, to a different audience.
The BEST content sometimes comes from people who aren't writing anymore. It is natural for guys who master getting laid to move on to other things in life, and not all want to stick around forever. Not everyone who is playing the end game wants to tell you about it, because most of you are still mastering "how get laid".
Watch out for people who are "all about the hustle". People who add value don't need to spend lots of energy marketing themselves, because others who want value, and have money, are eagerly working hard to find them.

But it goes to show you how gullible people are now at days. Why do you need to buy some random twitter bros "GET BIG QUICK PROGRAMS" when you have the raw information out there such as Starting Strength, Bigger Leaner Stronger, Barbell Medicine, Stronglifts etc. Theres enough of this information out there.

The red pill is shady. If you were a normal person you would'nt need/ seek it out. There is something different in our personality/ psychology that it speaks to. The red pill is psychopathic/ sociopathic and draws on the dark triad traits. It's so different from what the majority of society believes, preaches and practices.

The creators are imperfect people (human nature is ugly to begin with), many of them are dubious and mainly motivated by getting laid and making money. Some of the early PUAs while effective are scummy. Human nature means people are imperfect and don't know everything, even if they are well-intentioned. If you trust in people, you'll be disappointed. For example, I found the red pill through Roosh V's work but now he's apparently found religion and is now deleting his earlier work and going back on what he stood for earlier.

GLO does try to sell his coaching but his body of work speaks for itself. And 1v1 coaching at least requires time and effort on his part.

Also, like the top comment said, that's just the modern day internet for you. Very few content creators break that mold. Youtube 8-10 years ago was a great place and now 90% of it is clickbait titles and thumbnails. Not that there isn't good content on there, you just have to sift through so much bullshit to find it.

Eh, i actually have a different opinion. I feel like the biggest red pill truth of all is understanding that your time is valuable. If you value your time and still have the good intentions of helping others, you can’t get away from attempting to monetize said time. Like the adage of old claims “time is money” and if you slide in a soap commercial to cover the cost of the time it takes to make a video for others to consume for free, i aint mad at you.

However, content isnt the end all be all. You should value your time as well and instead of absorbing every video on the topic out there, find a way to make your time more valuable as well.

Because some men realized there is money to be made in men's "self improvement" by selling advice and solutions to other men who might have genuine issues that they need to work on.

Take my advice. Stay away from Twitter as well. Once you go down that rabbit hole, you'll find out most of the "big" accounts of the manosphere and RedPill are ultimately trying to funnel you into their paid products or services by dropping little nuggets of wisdom every now and then. Twitter, especially, is notorious in that the anonymity it provides allows anyone to claim to be a jacked millionaire business owner who is crushing life without fear of anyone calling them out since if you do you are a "loser". Seriously, it seems like every couple of months there's a new 20-something year old "6+figure biz owner" who never posts any evidence of their wealth but you're supposed to take his word for it.

Same for fitness. Too many accounts selling coaching and programs.

Not to mention the cliques, and mud-slinging.

Vet your content carefully and take the time to learn how social media really works and how these people keep you hooked. Don't just watch or follow because someone else said so.

Truth is always complicated, people who admit it are unpopular and will never be good youtubers. People who speak with extreme confidence over the internet quite often are hiding much. Truth is boring and multifaceted.

Most of pickup artists of any kind get you excited because they tell these anecdotes how someone changed 2 simple things and suddenly women swoon to him. Or they use their talking points examples on women who would fuck them even if they were world of warcraft paladin players

Its the nature of the medium. Youtube makes it super easy to broadcast and rp stuff allows guys to build a built in audience if you take that leap. I dont really have issue with the guys trying to make money but for some reason has always been an issue on rp spaces for some reason. Guys expect other men to use their time and not charge for their time? They offer free content most of time which is good enough..

Either way like mentioned before youtube is not best way to get "rp" content because these guys get on treadmill of making same video 100 times over. I rather read the classic blogs, get the actual source most of these guys create from and not watered down version. Use the youtube as supplement or quick entertainment but you will be stuck in rabbit hole watching unlimited hours of content otherwise.

He goes through real life situations, or even gaming girls in real time and record it. Then him and Rollo will go through and Rollo will break down the psychology of it. Seeing RP in real time is a whole different level if you ask me. But of course the Jon MLD detractors will say otherwise.

The problem is that everyone knows there IS a problem, particularly for young men, but it's also easily exploited. Which, exploiting people doesn't inherently invalidate the advice they might give, but it makes it harder to determine what's legitimate help, and what "advice" might be serving to "sell" their credibility to their audience.

Honestly, all you can do is say "Okay, these guys are clearly all trying to make a living off of this. So let me evaluate their advice with that in mind, and determine for myself if I think it's helpful or not."

I bought Rich Cooper's new book and I'm about a third way through & love it. I've learnt a lot already. I'm married three and a half years now & in a good place thankfully so not in the quagmire of most men today. The book has helped me gain an insight into women, generally & the feminism that is destroying them. It'll come in handy in the future if I have a son who needs to be taught about women, dating, marriage etc. I like the other things he talks about, such as your future lies in your hands, do the work, invest in yourself for the best ROI, workout, focus on your health & mind etc.
