Because of this weird mix of political correctness culture and moronic shaming attempts we have right now, me and the vast majority of my friends don't really speak up about our beliefs anymore. Not that I think we're wrong, it's just not worth the hassle. Acting non-judgemental also has a strategic benefit in that you can get women to tell you stuff about them they would probably keep secret otherwise, which is crucial for vetting. As a consequence of this though, most women today have no idea what their male friends really think — about them, about politics and the world, and also about dating culture and standards. This information inequity might also explain a lot of the nonsensical or hypocritical behavior we see.
