Women: "I have to want to have sex with him" is very very true, but just as important to me and to most women I think is:

“I want the man I want to have sex with to want to have sex with ME, not every rando on the street, but ME AND ONLY ME”

whereas my view of men , especially many young men is they are often thinking

Men: "I want women to want to have sex with me"

Am I way off base?

No one wins. Men/Women complaining are due to not getting what they really want. No need to demonize either side or hate the other. Life isn't fair and nature/universe doesn't care. We are just built this way and it is what it is.

Do you honestly believe that men 100 years ago or more received validation by fucking as many women as possible? That is an insane premise.

This is a totally modern phenomena, and has nothing to do with nature and everything to do with cultural norms.

This is a direct result of the collapse of the male provider market for men aged 18-28.There are now two markets basically, the sexual market dominated by a small portion of men that is relevant from the age of 18-30 give or take, slowly men transition from the sexual market to the provider market as they approach the age of 30.

So if before men were able to receive validation as they matured by being good providers, today they have to compete first in the sexual market which is probably one of the most uneven markets there is.

This basically creates a huge validation gap between men and women and is probably the main causes for the way gender relations are at in the moment.

There are also opportunities existing today, that didn't used to exist in the past. So it is not all bad at all, you just need to understand how to navigate in this swamp.

I have a theory that this is a prevalent feeling among men today (as well as "casual sex isn't fulfilling" for the guys who max out on that path) because of the subconscious intuition that these types of scenarios are unlikely to lead to pregnancy.

For prossies it's intuited pretty much up front, but for unpaid casual the intuition only builds up after a while of engaging in it and no pregnancies resulting
