So this past weekend, I was grocery shopping, mask on and everything. Just minding my own business and social distancing, when this guy suddenly comes up to me and asks if he can ask me something. I go, "Okay..."

He goes into this spiel about how you know, in a relationship, his current girlfriend really loves him, but he's not really feeling the same way about her, and he asked me what the best way to break up with her was.

I tell him quickly just to sit her down and be honest with her, and that I know it hurts, but he needs to be an adult. Then I shrugged and said, "Sorry, just gotta be mature about these things." He then just mumbles "Okay, thanks" and slinks away, and I walk away from the area.

My sis said he was trying to hit on me. I am not so sure because WHY would anyone in their right mind think this would work to pick up even a ONS? Has it come to this? People just going up to others and openly admitting they're currently seeing someone else, and that they just want to dump them ASAP in theboff chance that the person they're telling will go, "Yes, and after you do, call me and we'll hook up!"

I'm still reeling from this. It makes no sense to me. But then again, it didn't take much for me to just give up on dating and embracing singledom, so maybe it's just me.

Anyone else deal with something like this?
