askfeminists, feminism, and other feminist subs are actually controlled by men like the other commenters pointed out. Most feminist subs on reddit are really just trying to undermine the movement and turn it into something more palatable to men. Honestly, you shouldn't bother with them. FDS, though not a subreddit for feminism, is much more feminist than those male-run subs. If you're wondering if a sub is feminist, the golden rule is to ask yourself: do men hate it? If yes, it's probably because it advocates actual, impactful feminism.

Other feminist subs are run by men. If you ask me, we are the only true feminists. We don't sit here and claim prostitution, being so called sex positive or sleeping with men too soon is empowering for women. As is it harmful for to us and only benefits men. Liberal feminism is malignant.

Ironic that a dating sub that’s predominantly heterosexual women trying to navigate male spaces and find male partners is seen as more extreme than blanket feminist subs. It’s bc this sub says men need to earn love and respect. Honestly it’s so stupid, feminist subs should be straight up advocating for separatism and fds should be the ones chiming in saying “men aren’t that bad they just need to stop being so entitled and dependent they can be fixed.”

Seriously, right now it’s “men can do whatever they want to us and we have to force ourselves to want it” as the mainstream feminism.

It’s frustrating that half the planet views me as an object, does nothing for me, forces me to constantly prove myself, causes me to live in constant fear and the people who say they’re gonna fix it are threatened by personal dating preferences of the very gender they claim they’re helping

It always confuses me when a woman says she's not a feminist. Feminism is literally just wanting equal rights. That's all it is. Why would you not be in favor of that, as a woman? As a person, at that? It just causes alarm bells to go off in my head.

Welcome to Reddit. I don't know whether to cry or laugh. I was banned on a subreddit -- I can't recall which subreddit but I think it was on one of the feminist subreddits or relationship ones. One of my comments was removed here when I stated that I don't sleep with men and mentioned my faith. It happens.

I see myself as feminist and I love FDS. Heck, I dont even agree with everything here, but I think it is necessary to be somewhat radical and not always try to undermine womens issues with "...but men too"

There's different types of feminism in the factions don't always get along. Like TERFs are an example of a group that get a lot of pushback from most modern feminists.

I'm guessing that group is mainly "sex-postive" and the rules of this group don't allow for promotion if sex work or pornography.
