I can't remember where I read it, but there was something about men perpetually going to clubs and bars forever until the young adult women there started to shame them and say they were old. That's when they'll finally stop.

If asked men may say they got tired of being hungover, or it just wasn't fun anymore, but the actual reason is that young girls were turned off by them and wouldn't give them the time of day.

Your response was eloquently worded. "No thanks, grandpa!" followed by a block is all they need.

Single father: sees kid every other Sunday afternoon (unless he is busy), can’t name his teacher or pediatrician, and buys cheap but huge plastic birthday gift which he leaves his ex to assemble. Also forgets batteries for gift.

Engineer: engineer... possibly. May be sales. Or data input. Or unemployed. Take your pick.

Military contractor: the company he used to work for has military contracts in another division (which he had absolutely nothing to do with because he worked in customer tech support)

Good on you for putting him in his place. These older men are so delusional. I've loved telling men like this similar stuff in the past. When they pursue much younger women it is never for something good or long lasting. I've dated older men in the past. They've never loved me for me but how good I looked on their arm and made their friends jealous.

Thank you so much for calling him out. Shame is the only language these men understand. I read another comment where someone said this was a waste of time and to block and delete, but I think shame is a more effective tool because men are too stupid to think you're disgusted unless you actually say it! If you don't respond they'll simply thing you didn't see the message, are busy, or any other justification. They never get called out on disgusting behavior and they really need to be!!

My friend (25F) started dating a 44(M) year old and I’ve been a bit disgusted by it. 😳Haven’t said anything elaborate about it but seeing you post just validated my feelings. I just can’t imagine why someone in their 40s would want this other than for predatory reasons. And the “older men are more mature and know what they want” is so played out to me.

Yesterday, this topic was a hot debate on Twitter in my country. Unfortunately, most of the younger women took it as "These older feminists just don't want us to date" and the men supported them because obviously it benefits them in the end. They get a naive young women who will do everything to keep them happy while they do minimum to no effort things for the relationship.
