I keep seeing all these posts that claim a dude “seemed high value” when he’s clearly not.

A man is never high value based on who he is or what he has.

Is he physically fit? It could be because he values health and strength, or it could be because he’s a vain piece of shit.

Is he rich? It could be because he values excellence and achievement, or it could be because he’s a shitbag who has to use money to get any attention at all.

Is he popular? It could be because he’s a stand-up guy, or it could be because he’s a narcissist who manipulates people into inflating his ego.

Does he have a nice job? Cool friends? A good family, impressive hobbies, leadership positions in his community?

It doesn’t fucking matter, sis. It’s not about the things themselves. It’s about his relationship to who and what is in his life, and how much respect he has for them.

Just because you want something in your partner doesn’t mean that if they have that particular thing, it’s worth putting up with LV antics.

LVM may acquire status or do cool things, but their posturing won’t make them any less worthless of a partner. The be-all end-all characteristic of a HVM is that he always acts with respect and integrity, regardless of where he chooses to focus his efforts. Stop trying to excuse anything else just because you think something about him is shiny and appealing.

You deserve better.
