Every time you feel the need to “just see if he’s online” or “if he’s posted anything”, think about this: you are literally feeding your brain new information to be hurt and obsess over. If you don’t add fuel to the fire, eventually your mind will run out of things to analyse, and you will move on. But if you keep learning things about this man it’s like you’re constantly picking at a scab.

Take a deep breath, focus on your surroundings, and be kind to yourself by allowing the urge to pass. Only you can protect yourself from harm, so don’t harm yourself.
