Lmao...my long distance ex broke up with me over this. He barely managed to make out with one girl while I got all the action and actually moved in with my side for a few months (he offered cause I was leaving the country soon). Ex called me crying saying he didn’t want us open anymore cause he felt “guilty”...smh...but once I dropped the truth bomb on him that I was doing very well under our arrangement, his ego couldn’t handle it. Should have thought of that before thirsting over every walking woman in the vicinity.

One of my best friends boyfriend of 7 years asked to open it up. It was around a time she had a gut feeling he was starting to wonder elsewhere. She agreed because she loved him and wanted to keep him. She assumed it would get better and he would take it back.

At first he went out and she said she felt like she was dying over and over wondering why she wasn't good enough. Imagining other women getting the love she wanted .

Out of desperation to feel different she made a few accounts on OLD. She had so many date requests. She narrowed it down to a few she liked and started going out as her bf was going out more to try and get laid. He gave her less and less time.

Within a month she met the man who would be come her husband within a year and half. She broke up with her ex, he begged for her back and is still pining for her, messaging her randomly saying how bad he fucked up letting go to the one solid great amazing relationship he had.

She now has two kids, an amazing house and full life, a husband that is a pediatric surgeon who absolutely adores her...and is monogamous. Lol.

It's insane how you can go from misery to being happy by making one little change. Don't get stuck somewhere you don't want to be. Ever.

My boyfriend at 18 (who was also my first sexual partner) proposed an open relationship after dating for 8 months, then changed his mind, broke up with me, and told me he wanted to be fwb. His reasoning was that he didn't think I was pretty enough for him, and I wasn't satisfying him, so he wanted to look elsewhere, and suggested I do the same. I wasn't interested in anyone else, but the moment he broke up he cancelled our Facebook relationship status, so I updated mine to "single" and within the next few weeks a lot of guy friends were sliding in my dm's. I started going out on lots of lunch and dinner dates, but I never felt interested enough to go any further with any of the guys. Still, he couldn't get any dates, and actually got rejected by three girls during that time, so then he flipped the fuck out and tried to tell me that "it wasn't fair" that I was hanging out with all these guys while he got nothing.

He also did a bunch of other emotionally abusive shit but whatever.

I learned real fast that some people just want to have their cake and eat it too. Looking back at it now, I wasn't comfortable enough with sex to have taken any interest in anyone that I had those casual dates with, but damn, I can only imagine how pissed he'd have been if I did.

Saw this happen to 2 of my friends who used to date.

My male friend asked his girlfriend if they could have an open relationship, because he wanted to be able to go out with his friends and have fun, she said yes and one of the men she hooked up with was an ex.

My male friend went crazy and everyone made her the villain. Till this day I defend her, I always said, the moment you open up your relationship, prepare yourself for things to get ugly.

When I spoke to him, I felt like he literally thought he would be the only one who had fun while my friend sat around and waited for him.

That's exactly what happened when a guy I was dating decided he wanted an open relationship. I agreed to it because I knew that it would go down this way. He was so devastated that I was scoring dates left and right but he was getting no action at all, even from me at that point because I was getting mine elsewhere. Served him right. I will never agree to it again because ultimately I want monogamy and stability, but it was pretty damn funny.

Bahahaha...it's true. Most women are much more attractive than their husbands. There are some gnarly looking women - don't get me wrong - but the hideous men FAR outweigh the unattractive women.

Have you ladies ever walked through a mall and taken a good look at the typical husbands out there?

They're uglier than sin dipped in shit. Almost all of them are bald or balding, they're soft and out of shape, but mostly, they're just generally really, really unattractive.

Do that next time you're in the mall. Just watch the married couples go by and you'll see what I mean.
