I did mine with no anesthesia. Hurts just a little, like having all your fingers bent back, about 5 times. You don't waste a day, you can see your insides and you don't need anyone to pick you up. I rode my bike home from each one. I've done 2 of them this way, I'd recommend it.

They found a polyp on my first one, I watched them cut it out, felt nothing.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. They look up your ass and snip off any polyps that they come across. They do a biopsy and most likely they will be verified as benign. A few years later, they check again, snip again, biopsy again, and benign again.

But good idea to get these regularly once reaching a ripe age as catching anything actually serious early gives a much better outlook for satisfactory resolution.

The only part I really dislike is all that yucky tasting fluid that must be consumed just prior to the procedure to make everything squeaky clean and visible while the robot arm is on tour up there.

Hopefully it it nothing, but in the case it is, picking this up early means there is a very good chance of total recovery and treatment. My dads friend had it, they took out like 2 inches of his bowl, sewed him back together and he's all good. Putting it another way, if getting tested scares you; not getting tested could kill you and you wouldn't want to find out somewhere don the track that if you got tested now, it would have saved your life. So pants down and take it, chances are it's nothing and you'll feel better for having done it.

Odds are you'll be fine. I had my first one this year and they found 1 polyp. It tested negative for cancer, but now I'm on that 5-10 year rotation of having the procedure done. The hardest part is the colon prep the night before! Make sure you refrigerate the stuff before drinking it. Goes down smoother that way. Good luck!

Sugar feeds cancer, a carnivore diet/ ketogenic diet is best for reducing sugar intake. Also consider taking 2-3g of vitamin C throughout the day to help prevent cancer growth as well.
