In case you’re thinking about sending a nude, please please please reconsider. At my work, a highly male dominated field, a guy who is (technically) my equal was bragging about something, shoving elbows, being a bro. Hard gag. He got laid, I guess, & was really feeling himself. I typically ignore him because he is a walking, talking red flag: is 36, lives with a roommate, has no savings, thinks doing a bunch of drugs is cool, calls all the women he’s dated “crazy”etc. I could go on for hours. He is laughing about something on his phone to my other coworker. Stupidly, I ask what’s up? He says a girl he’s “talking to” asked him what he’s doing that night & then shoves his phone in my face. It’s a picture of her, naked. I immediately turned away, shocked. He’s laughing. Makes a bunch of different jokes at her expense & talks about how he could do better things that night but he has to go please her because she’s a “hungry fuck”. He proceeded to show 3 other guys I work with. I probably should have said something, but it made me feel so weird & uncomfortable I lost words.

PSA when you send a nude, the recipient is not always the only one who sees it. Dudes will use you for their own benefit even when you can’t see it.

Edit: I work in a kitchen, I'm the only woman back there & 1 of 3 in the whole restaurant. The "HR" is my Head Chef who has openly laughed at this creep's antics, though not this specifically. I have definitely thought about leaving, but with the pandemic & knowing I probably would be demoted/lose pay I'm staying. Rock & a hard place situation.

I feel absolutely terrible for the woman, but I don't know her name or her face to even possibly warn her. Hopefully, she's just another brief encounter in his life & with any luck will be written off as "crazy" before he does any real damage.
